Love the old hymns 🙏🏻🤩🇨🇦
It’s a blessing to hear old hymn in acapella... God bless you more for using your God-given talent for His glory!
My greatest childhood memory is my Mom and Grandma singing this song together my mother at the piano my grandmother sitting on the piano bench beside her 😢
I love Chris Rupp, heard him first with Home Free! Amazing voice! Amen!
I know that so many churches have gone to more contemporary hymns and while they are beautiful, I miss the hymns that I grew up with. Thank you for bringing back the joy of my youth. I love to tell the story is one of my favorites! I love all of your music but this speaks to my heart!

I feel the same way. A lot of the old hymns have lyrics right from the Bible. I love listening to them.

Thank you for using your talent to glorify God. This was such a beautiful arrangement. I remember going to sing at nursing homes all throughout my teenage years, and this was hymn they regularly asked to hear. We didn't sound as amazing as you do, but the memory makes me smile. May God bless you today!
That song gave me goose bumps. I love to sing along with you, and Home Free. Thank you so much. And I pray for many Blessings, and Gods safety in these times.

I was half way into the song before I realized it was one person singing the whole thing! Ha ha! Well done, great key changes. I have to sing this at a funeral tomorrow and wanted to see how others sing it. It is such a wonderful song of Jesus love for us. I learned that the author, Katherine Hankey, 1834-1911 was associated with the Clapham sect of William Wilberforce, a group of prominent evangelical Anglicans from the Clapham area in England. This group helped to establish the British and Foreign Bible Society, promoted the abolition of slavery, and was involved in improving the lot of England's working classes.
I'm starting to understand why you chose to go solo. Bravo, my brother! This is one of the hymns I used to sing for my kids, from infancy. Beautiful!😇

My favorite hymn.
It is the song I remember at age 7.5. It was in 1958, near Sacramento CA. I had not been taken to church. My brother, Ricky, and I had made up a religion. “The universe has an opinion.” A foster home took us to a Presby church. They sang that hymn. I was then sent out to play. I pouted. “Don’t you want to play with these nice toys?” Me: “I really need to go back in there and hear that story!” They said “No”. I knew that sounded like a better religion.

I’m sorry your faith was not encouraged at that young age. Jesus said, “it would be better for them to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around their neck than to cause one of these little ones to stumble.” Luke 17:2 I hope you eventually heard the whole story, and that your faith, strong now!

I sometimes am challenged by the composition of late 19th century worship music (hearing it as kind of "old timey"). But the heart and soul that you gentlemen infuse and project with this beautiful hymn is something we ALL need to hear, share and in the name of our savior Jesus, find renewal of hope for today's world. When I was a kid, I played the piano accompaniment for my friend’s grandfather who preached at a local homeless shelter. I went once a month with him, and played for the weekly service. This was one of the songs I learned for that. It’s been nearly 35 years. And my fingers still found their way into chord positions as you sang. Thank you for the memory. ❤️

You do these gospel songs so beautifully! I know that God will bless you richly for sharing your talent that He has given you, with the world. I am mesmerized with your music, especially in the fact that you do your own harmonizing. That is truly amazing! You would be a hit in some of our local churches down here in GA :-)
The four part harmony tells the story, Our lives are a 4 part harmony. The life we exhibit to the world around us; the one our relatives and friends see; the life that the closeness and intimacy of a very close friend or spouse; and the hidden life within our hearts and minds. When all four of these agree, there is a harmony that gives glory to the Lord Jesus. Thank you Chris for this illustration and reminder of His Love.
Oh Chris thank you for this.God bless you. There have been lots of people who have asked me why I taught gospel raather than stay in rock and roll, and this encapsulates it all. Now that I am closer to glory than not, I feel like you are carrying on where I cannot. Again, thank you.
For whatever reason, "I Love to tell the Story" has been in my head the last few days. COPD, CPAP & Covid will NOT stop me. God's Story is Greatest. I WILL live to share it. In Jesus' name.
