Just Wow! I didn't realize how very much I needed to hear this song today! A 2 + year battle with depression & suicidal ideations that have really peaked lately & this is in my notification box! My late daddy & I used to sing these songs together, when I was growing up. And today, 40 years after God took him back Home, I can feel his loving arms around me as the tears flow, so again, thank you so very much Chris, for your talent; & your generous & giving Spirit, that is the epitome of inspiring! Saying a prayer for you, Maggie. Depression and suicidal ideation is tough. My dad died in 1984 and I know how that can hurt, even so many years later. Sounds like you have a wonderful memory! Take it one day at a time or even five minutes at a time when you need to. God loves you. One day He will wipe away all our tears and make all things new.

How beautiful! Using part of the traditional harmonies but making it sound so natural. You truly have angels on your shoulders. A special lady my family knew growing up would come to Sunday School and sing for us so beautifully, and if complimented she would say that, it wasn't to her glory she had angels on her shoulders helping sing for joy every day. She would never come inside the church though, after some deacon or other told her a widow could not be allowed in the choir if she insisted on wearing makeup on her face and slacks rather than a dress under her choir robe! But she never forgot us littles, and she sang with your joy and ease. This song was a favorite of hers. Thank you for carrying this message forward. God bless.

I am an older follower of yours, this song reminds me of when I was younger my Uncles played music and sang this song. I just happened on your video and it took me back to those days again, the love they showed me and the love in the words of this song. Absolutely stunning!!! The harmonies were great! I had to remind myself multiple times it was just one person, and not 3 or 4. This hymn is great, and as everyone else has mentioned it was great scenery. This was a great way to end my day😊

When I was young my uncles played and sang this song to me. I stumble on your version and I was so happy. I don't have much but that was when I decided to become your patron.
