I just bought the self-propelled version of this with two 4AH batteries and love it. Today I cut my rather labyrinthine front and back yards and it took over an hour in mulching mode...No grass clipping seen! Pretty amazing. I used the turbo a few times, and at the end, I still had one light bar of power left! I'm so happy not to have to walk behind an exhaust machine and fart around with gas, oil and carb maintenance...it's not a cheap mower, but after 13 years of trying to keep a second-hand gas Toro alive, I appreciate the break.

I have a greenwood string trimmer that I have even using hard for several years now (long enough I can't remember when I bought it). Works great and highly recommend. The only negative is that the trimmer is 80v so the battery can't serve as a second battery for the 60v mower.

Thank you for including the self propelled compared to the non self propelled. All I needed to know was the weight. The self propelled gas powered mowers are too heavy for me to maneuver over a long period of time. Sounds like this lightweight mower is perfect. I like that it is even lighter weight than the gas powered non propelled.

I own the self propelled version of this mower. It came with two blades one 3 in 1 and 1 high lift blade for bagging. Two 60 volt 4 ah batteries and dual charger. I too love this mower. Purchased 7/2022 for $534.00

Just picked this up today on sale for 499 to replace a 9 year old 22 inch Toro personal pace. To my surprise I was able to mow my yard (takes an hour) and only used one battery.. I figured I would have used both. I do wish it had a in-between height adjustment with the handlebars between the high and mid setting. Also like others have said you need to release the self-propelle a few seconds before you reach the end of your cut if you need to pull it back (no different than some older mowers I have used). With the standard blade it doesn't mulch as well as the Toro but it's not bad at all. It never even kicked into turbo during my cut. I will try the high lift blade in the fall. I wish you could disable the led lights. I have no need for them. Also the bag is a little low and I end up kicking it sometimes when walking.

I got this same exact mower 3 years ago, and it’s by far my all time favorite mower I’ve ever used. It runs just as good now as it did when I first got it. I love it so much, I ended up getting their weed eater and leaf blower for the 60V platform. I also ended up getting a greenworks pressure washer. Love this brand! I’ll never buy from another company

Good info. In your opinion would a non self propelled version be ok for use on a lot where one side of it sloped? Easy enough to push?

I think this mower looks great, the bag looks much larger than my Snow Joe/ Sun Joe 100V, but I think they are comparable, I can get about 2-3 full mows on one battery. I like the turbo mode and that you can see the battery on the handle, but mine you can see it through the clear cover. I am not sure that this push mower and moving it around that your fingers would release the trigger, but either way any battery mower is great... The snow blower is just as awesome!!! no gas and pulling a cord, it is so nice! Great Vid!

I bought a Ryobi 48 volt self propelled electric mower from H.D. at the beginning of this season. It came with a rear discharge bag, a blocker for the rear discharge chute (for mulching), and two 48V batteries. I have about 4,000 - 4,500 sq ft of grass to mow, and can get two complete mows done with one charge of a battery. So far it's been fantastic. It's so quiet I can hear birds singing while mowing. The quietness, lack of exhaust fumes, and not having to use gas is wonderful. I will never go back to a gas mower. PS: I'm getting a bit older so having a self propelled mower has been a benefit for me.

I have the self-propelled version that I got on clearance for $50 at Lowe's last winter. The self-propelled version can be used with or without the self-propelling function by simply actuating a lever. Good for inclined areas where a bit of help makes a lot of difference.

Curious how they compare to the Kobalt 80v mowers ? I don't mind gas mowers but if mine ever dies I may look into one of the Kobalts since I already have 2 other Kobalt 80v tools.

You don’t have many tools year so changing brands won’t be that big of a deal. I own lots of 60 volts Greenworks tools and they work fantastic!! But I always tell people to stick with the brand they already own so you can use the extra batteries. Tech made easy has a great review of the 80 volt Kobalt mower.

I was just about to buy the 40v model but Lowes stopped selling the larger batteries and only offer a 2 Ah battery and everyone is complaining about them completely dying and no longer charging after a few charges. I looked up a video of a guy that tested like 10 mowers and decided on this Greenworks.

I bought this mower a couple weeks ago and have used it twice and I can say that it lacks power of a gas mower hands down. The side discharge is almost non existent after removing the mulching attachment and putting the side discharge chute on it leaves clumps of grass instead of discharging from the side because there is not enough power (with full battery charge) to blow the grass out from the mower. Same thing when using the bag it cant throw the grass into the bag not enough power. the blade seem to run slowly and i have to go back over spots of grass several times. It will eventually get the job done however, the mower IS TERRIBLY UNDER POWERED

Rather disappointed... the EGO brand... whether electric snowblower, lawnmower, blower, or any OTHER landscape tool, is FAR superior and has been thoroughly vetted... As a 30 yr plus gardener/Tesla owner, I've tried therm ALL and Green Works doesn't come close. How U can say/imply it's the best without trying them all... is beyond me... U just lost tons of cred ... It's one thing to say "it's amazing and I LUV it"... that would be fine... BTW, okn a more personal note, LAWNS truly suck, waste loads of water and blah blah blah... I've been shifting folks to edibles/perennials and far smaller or no LAWNS for a long time...
