I Lose a Desert Shootout at the 24 Hours in the Old Pueblo
Спорт
We're bookending the cycling season with an event that kicked it off. I started 2023 by flying to Arizona with my wife Laura and our kids, then met up with fellow Cannondale and Velocio athlete, Alex Howes, as well as our friend Meg Fisher to start two teams at the 24HOP.
A little bit of everything transpired, visits to the ER, skin punctures from cacti, and maybe even a victory...?!
LT:DR? Broken ribs, punctured lung, and Laura and Meg pull off a last lap victory. Plus Alex and his daughter riding is cute :)

Ace. Cannondales are the bomb! 30 years and seven bike and counting. Cheers
Well done, what a great team !
Thank you, Gretchen, for sharing this story with us!
Great video and family event
Amazing race with all those bumps and bruises. Great video of the race and family. Take care, Al
Congratulations ladies 🎉
Wow! I sure enjoyed this video. Great job everyone. Thanks for uploading! I sure miss the great American West over here in the Alps.

That doesn’t sound too miserable either!
Fantastic race, but tough. The cold is an important enemy to take into account. The night is unpredictable, anything can happen... congratulations on that well-deserved award!!!
I took a "minor" spill into a pile of cactus in Moab 3 weeks ago and I'm still picking bits of the spines out of my back and shoulder for as my body pushes them out. No joke!
I friggen love you guys. Fantastic !

Ha, thanks so much!
Ted & Laura > taking the ol' Racing adage: " win or crash" waay too serious (haha) Be Well & Recupe' Better
Who decided on the title? I watched it 4 times before I understood this happened 8 months ago. I watched so many times because I thought I wasn't paying close enough attention and I missed the "shootout".
I seem to remember Ric from GMBN did this - and ended up in hospital.......
This is another great video!!! Thanks🤟🚵♀️
