    I drive the Ioniq 6 because I want to. The car looks better every time I look at it, which I know is not felt by all.

    I would honestly like to know why you chose this car over something - anything else. Did you test the Tesla Model 3? Or a pre-owned I-Pace? Because those do everything the Ioniq 6 does but prettier. Do you plan on keeping your 6 long term? Have you considered how much value it will lose with age? I 'm not trying to be flippant or disrespectful. I bought a '19 Model 3 Long Range couple months ago. Love it. I would legitimately like to know why you chose this car.

    @@user-hr6pz5hf9q Being a person who's gonna buy a Ioniq 6 soon ill give my two cents. A ionic 6 because its sporty looking, and also its not a Tesla. Tesla is EVERYWHERE(in Denmark at least) and dislike the simplistic style of Tesla and the fact they removed the sticks behind the wheel. Ofc Ioniq 6 dropped in price since the video was made but always liked the look of it and the top trim aint that expensive anymore compared to the competionen

    @@shinsawai Ok that's cool. Just be sure because buyer's remorse is real. You should ar least test a Model 3 Long Range with acceleration boost. The feeling of driving it is magic. I'm talking about foot on the pedal hands on the steering wheel magic. Unlike anything I've ever driven - including other Teslas. I've driven the Model S P100D and also several Model 3 Performance, and none feel as good as my Long Range. The Model S is too big and slow (for me) and the Model 3 Performance felt slower because of the heavier wheels. The Long Range (with boost) with it's lighter 19" alloys and upgraded speed is just brilliant. The downside of owning a Tesla though is the build quality. It frankly sucks, at least with the older ones like my '19. There are rattles and annoying seam gaps that allow wind noise. I've fixed my rattles so the ride is mostly quiet. Take this to heart: if you change your mind that first year and decide to trade your Ioniq for something else, you will be underwater much more than just your tax and license fees. That car's depreciation is going to be BRUTAL. Figure 6k for tax and license and add another 15k in depreciation. So that's 21K on top of the price of whatever you want to trade for. Fair warning.

    I guess you‘ve tested the AWD because the frunk is usually bigger on the RWD and I counted not near the 7 seconds you have had from 0-60, if you drove the RWD…

    Consumer Reports did a review of the "autopilot" systems on a dozen EVs and the Hyundai-Kia-Genesis system ranked at or second from the bottom.Among other things, CR said the lane-centering feature exhibited "ping-ponging" behavior where the car moved from one side of the lane to the other, and occasionally had difficulty keeping within the lane itself!. I wonder if you have experienced this behavior. A followup vid on this would be nice.

    I tested out HDA a lot on this and the Ioniq5 as well and actually had a great experience with it. It’s not a hands free system by any means but it didn’t ping pong back and forth when I was using it on the free way. I drove around 200 miles on a weekend using it and it really helped reduce fatigue. It worked well at low speeds in traffic and a over 75 mph.

    Loved mine until it had issues, now it’s been with the service department for almost a month. Can’t wait to lemon law it and get my money back, Hyundai corporate and the dealership have both been awful to deal with. Not fucking around with EVs or Hyundai anymore.

    @@mindblownwhattheydidntteachyou My advice would absolutely be to stay away. The GPS suddenly died one day and started reading that the car was at Hyundai’s testing plant in Michigan. In addition to obviously being unacceptable on a brand new $50k car and preventing me from doing onboard navigation, it also meant no battery preconditioning. Only thing I ever heard from the dealership or Hyundai corporate was “part is backordered with no ETA” for the first few months, then they just forgot about me until I opened a case with Better Business Bureau Auto Line. It took them five full months to buy the car back while I still had to make payments (+ wasted insurance payments…) and when they did they calculated my usage amount based on an ICE car, meaning I lost thousands of dollars. Dealership was also kind enough to give me an ICE loaner (after I repeatedly bothered them about it for a month lol) that they never gave me the promised gas card or reimbursed me on gas for. People love the car when it works, as did I. But there are a lot of stories of them not being able to fix simple issues for months on months, and they treat you like absolute shit once they have you locked into a contract.

    @@mindblownwhattheydidntteachyou comment got deleted, but I’d really recommend staying away. GPS unit suddenly went down (no onboard maps or preconditioning, also just unacceptable on a brand new $50k car). All I got was “part backordered with no ETA” for a month, then they forgot about me until I opened a BBB Auto line complaint. Took them 5 months to buy it back and when they did, they did the absolute minimum so I’m out thousands. Awesome car to drive when it worked, unfortunately there’s no shortage of stories of Hyundai not being able to fix them and holding onto them for months while owners still have to make payments and maintain insurance. Corporate and the dealership both treated me awfully and came across as completely incompetent, I really had to fight and spend hours to even get them to follow the lemon law.

    It's cute, but how does it drive? Looks like they copied Tesla door handles. What about LC/AutoEmergBraking/TrafficAwareCruiseCtrl features? Range? Acceleration looks good, but what are the specs? Handling? Slipping is lost acceleration. Those rims are super UN-aerodynamic, kinda defeats the point of the special "Electric" tires. I think manufacturers load up cars with unnecessary yet vital gimmicks (fancy LCD screens, no gauges, special keys) so they can have some maintenance issues to generate money for dealers later on, since EV's are generally trouble and maintenance free.

    People bitch about the Tesla with all the controls on the center pad… there are more confusing buttons, knobs and switches to this car for me… paddle controls for regen?? Really? Why not just one pedal or use the brake? More confusing items…

  • @petesig93

    @petesig93

    9 ай бұрын

    🤣 The paddles are not to USE the regen braking, but rather to set the mode; the *degree* to which it operates. There are 3 settings for the amount of regen from easing up and braking, together with a full one-pedal mode which will bring the car to a stop. You just ease up the power and/or apply brakes to get regenerative input.
