Josiah is a true champion, being able to succeed under difficult circumstances. As a Malaysian abroad, once again I wonder what success Malaysia would have had in nurturing talent in it's people, if it did not have such polarising policies centred around race and religion.
I think this is by far the most interesting interview from your channel, OLC! Never heard of this guy until now and I'm glad you interviewed him. Seems like a great guy, very articulate and animated - love that he can paint a picture so vividly. Keep up the great content!

I'm still riding a Look 585 and 595 on campy. Campy is rebuildable, local rebuild expertise is Loue and Bike Smith.

@@OompaLoompaCycling no thanks to disc brakes, Di2 and proprietary parts. Look 595 seatpost is already proprietary and I had hard time sourcing for spares. I avoided 695 because crank, cockpit, seatpost are proprietary.
When I see rimbrake bikes, I know its going to be a good show
Josiah is a legend. Heard about his youth cycling story before, so inspiring to chase your dream!
This is the best guest by far. Very interesting story.
Superb interview covering so many topics, it's long but never dull. You should have got him to play something on the violin for the intro and outro!

God damn...Isn't it Josiah Ng. He is considered as a legend cowboy (cyclist) and didn't expect him to be interviewed by OLC.

Btw, josiah, just for your info. Campy 12sp do come in rim brake. Happy shopping. I, too, am a campy and rim brake fan. OLC, another great video.

The best interview by far! Motivational backstory and a great speaker with the credentials. Love that this episode isn't just about bikes - hoping for more of that in future interviews!

Great interview 👍
Everyone commented the same thing: best guest so far. The things he talked about. Oh man and to think that I almost skipped this because that intro was *not the best*! Lucky I was driving so I just focused on the road and let the video play. Glad I did. SUPER SUPER interesting doping story! Must be crushing to be the only guy not doing it

Great interview! Especially poignant for parents. Who knows he would have gone even further with their support. And also great news! Singapore will have a cycling velodrome soon. In the works

Hahaha yeah
The bro is the realist. 45:29 I heard of the explanations of Jared Leto’s band name “30 seconds to mars” One was saying that we are often close to something special but end up quitting right before without knowing. So this kind of idea to keep going.
Shame on you #SHIMANO. Josiah is a pure cyclist that base on performance and ride quality more than tech. He talk a lots of sense.
