If its just entity cramming, its been done for years using minecarts. But entity cramming using the wither itself, i think logical was the first one that ive seen do that.

Fun fact: Pearl was sure nobody would buy her stuff and was afraid the shop was going to be a total failure. Now she has hermits advertising for her... I love this server... xD

I agree and though I love how much Tango does stuff on his own, this is one of the few times I would have recommended he look into influence from the Hermits' good friend Logicalgeekboy since he did a chain fed, entity cramping Wither farm in season 1 of Legacy. Probably would have made Tango's life easier but then no midair dog fight with Withers XD.

Tango has the most unique personality on the server. He's in the S tier of technical Minecraft masterminds, but he doesn't take anything too seriously and his natural state is pure silliness. All of his interactions with other hermits prioritize laughter. Never stop being you Tango, you are truly one of a kind.

This season is just a blessing because we can get more interaction than ever in hermissippi, more giggles from stress and iskall, more cuteness from gems, impulse and pearl, more wholesomeness from xb and keralis, more shenanigans from grian and scar. And ofc so much more fun from tango. I still missed mumbo though

Good luck in the egg hunt. Your base has lots of little places to search. As for Decked Out 2.0, I still say you should talk to Beef, about making some of his rare cards the treasure. You should also let Scar design a couple of rooms, and not tell you what’s in them, so you can go in, too. 🤠👍

i’m loving how much tango freaks out over accidentally setting 3 withers loose in the nether (barely any nearby builds, just portals). fully despairing and panicking and then doc “made an obsidian farm last season and went ‘oh no :/‘ when he released two withers a couple hundred blocks from BOATEM” m77 responds in chat like “that’s unfortunate. anyways, know some people who could help”

Imagine flying through the Nether and seeing all those health bars randomly pop up

I don’t think the block is glitching, the third piston is still extended when the fourth in de-extends. So you end up placing a block in front of yourself instead of the correct order. I’m assuming you could tweak the timing of the piston extension to fix.

You placed 5 soul sand it didn’t clone. Look at your block count in your active bar. It placed right as the piston pushed the sand that was there away. Almost looked like it placed into the piston head (Just riding your comment ty)

Just when you're thinking the G.O.A.T. is doing crazy stuff, Tango joins in. First making an unintentionally mob switch with his copper farm. Then te crazy fast wither skeleton farm. And now the entity cramming of withers, OMG. We are just begun this season, what's going on. I'm looking forward to see this season evolve into more epicness by the week. Keep up the work you are doing great.

The block didn't clone, the piston moved fast enough that you placed another one. You started out with 56 blocks, placed the 4, extra one appeared, and you only had 51 blocks left.

The solution is easy too. He only needs to not look at a piston head or arm will be while he's placing.

LogicalGeekBoy did this type of farm a while back, with the difference that the soul sand was fed via piston feed tape - a modification that might help eliminate the whole proximity damage issue

Tango you should make a shop where you sell beacons in a box. You basically use the iron blocks from your iron farm and make a beacon from the nether stars and you can sell a fully ready beacon. I think it would be very profitable for you and helpful to all the other hermits

When the soul sand block “clones,” you can see the number of soul sand blocks deplete in his inventory. I believe he’s just placing another block once the closes one moves but before the further ones move

I think it's because the piston was extended. Apparently if you place a block at that exact moment, it appears in the space the extended piston head is occupying

if you push the soul sand into the chamber with pistons and place them from further away that wont be a problem anymore (and you wont take explosion damage from a distance)

Pretty much what I came to the comments to say. The piston in front of his face retracts 1 redstone tick before the 3 pistons extend with other soul sand blocks. Plenty of time to place another block if you're just holding right click. Tango just needs to keep that piston extended for another tick if he wants that issue resolved. Then if he finds a way to keep himself in place while the farm is running, it's pretty much fully AFK-able.

Your game of arrow tag with Scar was one of the best moments. Pure, wholesome, and probably random. Shear entertainment!

I have to say Tango (and Impulse) are setting the bar super high this season for nuts farms. The Wither Rose -> Wither Skelly -> Wither Wither Farm progression is crazy. Also, I assume Tango used operant conditioning to program Gem to kill, so that’s cool too.

that shooting match with scar and how genuinely proud Tango is of the chest monster cleanup was amazing to start the episode!

Its also the only way to get the manpower needed to make some of their farms that have insane manhour requirements to build.

That intro bit with Scar was so incredibly fun I am delighted. god I love the hermit friendship shenanigans. 8:00 "I've been working on... just a little hobby....." -welcome home Theseus- Something funny I discovered was that you can do all the blocks to spawn a either, but as long as you don't place the final skull last, it won't spawn. So you can like up 3 soul sand, put down 3 skulls, and then the final soul sand, and it won't spawn. very interesting. I actually love that they had to "call in the troops" haha more hermit interactions yay! Defeating withers by entity cramming with more withers.... Minecraft history More Decked Out star decorations perhaps?

This is the best episode of Hermitcraft I have ever seen. The redstone side of I keeps the video productive but the unexpected problems that arose made it hilarious. Especially the wither escape whilst you False and the G-Man were fighting them. The banter with Scar when he set you on fire was also amazing . Thank you for creating such a great video

Scar’s been surviving too much lately. The hermits (grian and zedaph included): It’s our job to change that.

“Get even more nether stars” Tango my man… you have enough beacons for the whole server…. I love to see it but I don’t think you’ll ever need either stars again! You could use them to make a night sky at this point!

I want to see a setup of a field of beacons with signs holding up sand on top, so that at the push of a button, all 200+ beacons will activate when the signs and sand are removed!

I’m sure you’ve probably already considered it but, a regen beacon below the machine might be helpful.

Personally, I enjoy the fact that the Hermits “babysit” their contraptions so emergency situations are promptly addressed. Scicraft is cool and all, but it’s a bit impersonal. To me, that’s interesting, but not fun. 🤷‍♀️eh. Interpersonal target practice😆, building bloopers😂, quirky puns😁, and random red alerts😳🤣 make for much more fun! Ya I really like to see parts of the process of whatever they are doing, when any hermit totally skips a build or an adventure or anything and just says 'look what's new, tada', it's always kinda disappointing.

Oh No! A Hermit has let withers loose by accident! If only there was someone who could help who had experience in letting loose withers. Ah, there's Grian.

The wither fight was intense! Another great episode, this season is brilliant.

Those two didn't even die once. So awesome. Also, those bars going down is so satisfying. This is amazing Tango!

"I'm not very good at this game." Relatively maybe. But next to Grian and Sherrif False, there's not many that don't look like PvP/E noobs! What a crazy episode!

You know that the "glitched" soulsand block was just another one that yoy placed down... You can even see it in your hotbar (you place 5 instead of 4). When the piston retracts, there is space for it. And if you are still holding dow your mouse, why wouldn't you place another one :D

Fun Fact: According to Raid Mechanics, Raids ONLY attempt to spawn on the highest Y level block. So if you put a Glass Perimeter above the raid Farm "except the Spawn Platform", they won't spawn anywhere above or beneath. Also Raids attempt to spawn within a 64 Block Radius around the center of the Village +0-4 at random, so at most a 68 block radius.

Definitely just want to put some dogs on the few dead spots on the edges of the farm. They're easy to get there too since they just teleport, just bring lots of backups.

I know you spend so many hours on these videos and we can all see the effort. you are an inventor. whenever you start tutorials on these builds you need to name in a series with a MadTango name and use the slogan build at your own risk, copper, wither skeleton, iron, wither farms! . every time i watch what you have built i sit in awe. you may just be the best minecrafter around, and i wont ask you to rush Decked out 2 because you deliver on so many other farms and so many other levels. thanks for letting us experience your crazy minecraft brain.

Tango, try placing the soul sand remotely with a piston feed tape so you don't have to worry about blocks getting stucked.

I have questions about the wither skeleton farm. What is important for the location/fortress conditions/areas besides the biom? Why are crossways best suited for those farms? Did you guys actually build it at crossways? How far up/down can you go within a fortress bounding box regarding spawn areas? Did you use an external tool to see the bounding box? If yes which one? I built some wither skeleton farms that weren't really good and still they keep fascinating me

Other important factors are spawn locations for other mobs. The mob cap is the biggest limiting factor for farming wither skeletons. Also doing what they did with wither roses is handy for limiting what mobs will spawn, as only wither skeletons can spawn on those. Crossroads are the best because the actual bounding box for the fortress is a 17x17 around the center. They did. A couple right next to each other I'm pretty sure. The bounding box I believe extends 5 up and 4 down. This allows 3 spawning platforms. I believe minihud is one of the most commonly used mods/tools for that.

You should definitely start an advertisement campaign for the other hermits for why they need lots of beacons in their lives

The "cloning" is you placing a block in position 4 before position 3 has moved out of the way.

I can see it now... HC Recap: This week, on Hermitcraft! (Cuts to the screams and chaos from Tango, False and Grian trying to contain 3 loose withers in the nether)

that weird block cloning thing was probably just a ghost block, when you move a piston too fast when you place a block where that piston extends the client and the server start a argument where the client says "the block is here I placed it before the piston extended" while the server says "no, This piston activated right after this block was placed" causing your client to display that block in 2 places at once. This dose not dupe the block, it only makes a block that only you can interact with, it will not drop an item.

Someone should do a build with bone blocks... It's so rarely used on a mass scale... Also it has fun place abd break sounds

@@rickb3650 that's the thing... It was used a few seasons back... While you can see that ocean monument theme blocks and nether tree theme blocks are so frequently used... 2-3 builds per season...

Scar, One person on this server I would mess with is Tango! He is MAD GENIUS!!! He will mess you up in ways you didn't even know we're possible. 28:34 that will do pig, that will do!

On the 3 withers test, you start with 57 soul sand in your bar and end with 44 there is no glitch, you are putting an extra block after the block in front of you moves.

Maybe you could stand on a honey block to prevent moving from the knock back damage?

To reduce knockback at the Wither Farm, i'd place a cobweb where you're standing and a regen beacon nearby...

I don't think the soul sand was cloned. You just placed a fifth block. As you can see around 17:06 you have 56 soul sand and after 17:10 you have 51, so you placed 5 instead of 4 since the bottom block is moved before the 3 others. Might just need to be a bit more precise with how many times you click since this doesn't seem to be spam proof

You know you have a good Wither Skelly farm when you run out of soul sand!

tango thats an amazing project i would honestly be interested in seeing more of the redstone aspects to try and make a farm like that

Would it be possible to set up a piston feed tape for the soul sand? That way you could be outside the blast range of the wither. Although the chaos is fun to watch too 😏

So glad the farm blew up the first time as well all expected. False and Grian coming to the rescue made for one of the best things I've seen ins Minecraft video. What an epic fight!

Tango going full Captain America. "Hermits Assemble!" and out the portals they answered the call. Almost as beautiful as Endgame. So both Tango and Doc have released Thanos level threats on the server in recent seasons. The sheer joy of being a mad scientist has to be balanced with chaos sometimes.

Hey Tango, the last stream I caught of yours, you were still brainstorming ideas for the nether hub. After seeing all the wither skulls, you were getting, I think it should utilize beacons, a lot of them. My idea on it is, make the walls a mosaic. If you need some examples to take inspiration from, I'll leave some suggestions. "Good Shepherd" is a nice mosaic. Personally, I think Islamic mosaics stand out the most. The architecture is just breath taking. The best examples I think are: The Dome of the Rock (both the outside and interior have an amazing design), I love the arches of the Great Mosque of Cordoba (and the decoration inside the dome is beautiful), then there's the Congregational Mosque or Friday Mosque in Iran and I love the exterior of it! The Tile Mosaic Mihab is an incredible hand-made mosaic. And the Muqarnas Dome is so cool to look at. The most amazing thing about these structures (a lot of them having religious ties being Mosques since that's what rulers would spend money on having built. Religion has a big influence on art and architecture) is that they were built so long ago and are still around (some more than others). I think a number of these structures and mosaics could be great inspiration for the nether hub! Mostly the colors and shapes. If you use beacons in the design, you could use stained glass panes to pixelart each of the hermits. This could even be used to indicate where their portal is.
