You have inspired me! My daughter suffers from severe depression and needed help cleaning and organizing her home. I went there yesterday and the day before and helped her out. She has an appointment with psychiatrist who hopefully will help her.

My experience is that, just having someone else there with me in my house helping makes more motivated because I am accountable to that person. When it’s just me, it can all seem too overwhelming to even begin.

True. I just watched some lady that has to have everything white and perfect. She took all the food and paper towels out of packages so they would look perfect in glass storage containers. Must be exhausting.

Oh my goodness as a professional house cleaner I 100% agree. I have started to charge a little more for clients with that much grout.. it takes forever to clean.

This is what it's all about--showing appreciation by putting in a little "sweat equity" of your own! Kudos to the owner. My family lives by this. If we help each other, we generally do not "do it all." We expect something of each other, as a way of showing appreciation, ownership and promise for the future.

The inside of that toilet was pristine before you started in there! Nice!

Please unplug before cleaning. I don't want you to get shocked. 🥰 Also you inspired me to clean walls in my bedroom and shine my refrigerator.

What you're doing for "free" is priceless, IMO because if someone came to my home and helped me I would do whatever I could, whether paying for a taxi or giving money, cooking and providing protective equipment and clothing, cleaning equipment....anything because i think anybody would be incredibly grateful for your help.

I know I’m viewing this months after it was posted but I am amazed at each of your videos I see. You are helping these residents be able to care for their homes by showing them it’s not that hard if they do a little as they go. The resident did a great job on their living room and that portion of the bathroom. I believe you are a miracle worker in a way to accomplish what you do with your own money, supplemented occasionally by the gifts given by the people you help. I hope you will have a company want to sponsor you some day. I look forward to viewing more of your videos and see how you continue helping others. You are a blessing to all you have helped. ❤️

I like cleaning also very much and if there is something so dirty, I‘m using washing soda mixed with vinegar and dishsoap and let them sit for a longer time. Lovely regards from Austria 🇦🇹💓💫🌻

Hi Barbie - You can make your own Dawn power wash - To make 16 ounces, you will need 13 ounces water, 2 ounces blue Dawn, and 1 ounce rubbing alcohol. Reuse the original container the power wash came in. Also, I have noticed that the powder/dry Barkeepers Friend works much better than the liquid form. Thanks for the videos!

For the stove I put oven cleaner an the plastic wrap on top let it sit till u finish the other stiff then take off the plastic wrap an wipe down its so much easier

Barbie has said in earlier videos that she would rather scrub longer than use the plastic to add to the plastic garbage issue we have.

loved seeing the drill attachment..great idea..got me thinking about the hard water crud in my shower ...maybe I could get me one of these! A good cleaning tip from another cleaning show, to save on cleaning products..use two buckets, one with soapy water, and one with plain water..dip and wring out mop in plain water first..then the mucky bucket you have to keep replenishing is only water, not product.

The cleaning test was awesome! It looked like the dawn power wash was the beat to start, then after the steamer loosened everything up, the bar keepers friend was best to finish up, yes? I have a garment steamer, I haven't tried using it for cleaning, but I did use it to help a friend kill bedbugs. It really workd, but those little buggers can really hide, so they're very difficult to get rid of. Had to be more persistent and consistent than them!

Excellent job! Those little smiley faced sponges didn't work for me when I used them on a house I had cleaned 6 years ago. They just fell apart on the second day! Have they made them stronger nowadays? I only used them in the kitchen to wash dishes!!

Another great video. I liked the part where you said the owner felt shame over the condition of his place. My kids told me the best thing I taught them was shame, not to judge but to try harder and then to feel pride in a job well done. Things can escalate pretty fast in a house, at least in mine. I feel so good and hopeful when I clean and I am happy. Good job all around.

That man must have so appreciated having a lovely clean apartment to live in again- it must lift the mood. I would ask if I could put the shower curtain in the washing machine - you can hang it up straight away if there’s no balcony to dry it. We have a product called Ajax in Australia- it’s a dry powder you sprinkle on wet bath then it makes a paste which is slightly abrasive. Very good for dirty baths.

We have Ajax here in the USA also, but there is a similar cleaner called Comet which is more commonly used. So you might see Comet on cleaning videos from here, more than Ajax. Comet has bleach; Barkeeper's friend, which is also sold as a powder, is acid-based, which is good for removing limescale. So people usually choose one or the other.

Beautiful, Barbie! There is a mop that you can get at a big box hardware store that allows you to screw down two folded lengthwise face towels, that I get from a Goodwill type store. It gives you a clean mop for every client. There is no scrubby part, so you still have to deal with that. But now you have a clean mop for every client. ❤

Musicians are one of the groups badly effected by the past 3 years-we really need to go out and support live music again folks! Even just at free outdoor events! Hah! So Dawn wins! Plus the Scrub mommy or daddy. The steamer loosened up the sticky stuff from the old slip mat or stickers! So really, steam won! 😂 But the Dawn cuts grease and wax, which is the curse of the bathroom! Great job! And it’s good to see the client stepping in and helping-shows he is ready to start keeping his place clean!

@@cleanwithbarbie yes! If you're not afraid of someone's greasy houses, why should I be afraid of my own lovely house? Lol. All I use is a bucket with hot water, dish soap, Chlorox bleach to clean everything. Plus Oven degreaser in the kitchen. For the floors you can bring your own floor squeegee, ask an owner for an old towel, wet it in the hot water bucket with dish soap, bleach or Comet, put it on squeegee and never wash it with your hands.

I think dawn is the best...!!! You are doing a great job..!!!!

Barbie, I will tell you how I have cleaned a bathtub, when I am moving into a rental. A lot of times the Bathtub's are stained. I fill the tub up with cold water. Then I add 1-2 cups of Bleach and leave it overnight. The next morning the tub is dazzlingly WHITE! It takes overnight to soak out the stubborn stains. But, it works great! No hard scrubbing involved! I like your work, you are very good at what you do.

That bathroom clean was awesome!
