I have the title to the Ferrari, but now what?

Hey everyone, in this video, I'm giving you an update on my Ferrari since I received the title. Unfortunately, it still needs major work done, and I'm feeling a bit stuck. I'm turning to you, my fellow car enthusiasts, for suggestions and advice on what I should do next.
In this video, I'll take you on a tour of the car and show you what needs to be done. We'll also talk about some of the options I've been considering, like taking it to a professional mechanic or attempting the repairs myself. I'll share my thoughts on the pros and cons of each option, and I'll be looking to you for your insights and experiences.
So if you're a fan of Ferraris, or if you have experience working on cars, be sure to tune in!

You should talk to Dan @ Normal Guy Supercar. Maybe they would fix-up your Ferrari as one of their You Tube channel projects. You know he'll be sympathetic to your situation and he's always looking for content.

Hey Matt, Good to hear you got the tittle!!! Give me call, I might have a lead on a gearbox and motor... Don't Convert it to0 electric. I finally got my F430 fixed. Had to tear the whole motor down, new heads, new cams, new variators and all new pistons. But it's running and was worth the wait. It so nice now that it's all sorted out. hit me up if you still have my diggets.

I would send it to RMT Motorsports in Yorba Linda Ca. Randy is the best in the business for Ferraris. He used to run the service center for Ferrari Newport Beach back in the day and this RMT is his own shop. He works on my exotics and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. He and his team will do the job perfect.

Don't go electric mate. The REASON for that car is the high pitched V8 scream above 5000 rpm. The smiles per mile mine gives me is priceless. Do the rebuild, you'll never regret it.

The motivation to proceed would be tough to muster, followed by expensive. The electric conversion really is the unique option, content wise, and only if shop is fully down to be recorded and interviewed along the process. It would be a cool modernization move, and 90 miles is really a good cruise. What brand or make is the electric system?

Assuming it's "ONLY" $50k! Watch Matt Farah talking to the guy restoring Matt's 308. He reminds Matt that the low mileage cars that cost $50k more, still need the same $60k in AGE maintenance/restoration, as his car did. CARS NEED TO BE USED AND DRIVEN. It's why I feel so bad for the "average" exotic owner. Until you can REALLY DRIVE THEM, you have no idea what else the car needs. If it was this neglected, chances are it goes deeper than "just" $50k

Thanks for the update. Ugh, what a horrible first-time buyer experience! Now that you have the title, have you considered just selling it at a $60K+ discount with full disclosure? I bet someone who loves these cars and has the time and money to fix it may liberate you from this on-going nightmare. It's gotta be frustrating to have an exotic sitting in the garage that you can't drive until you sink countless thousands to have someone else repair in who-knows-how-long. Best of luck!

You need to find a shop that really knows the 360. One with the knowledge to sort your car out. Even my lowly 996 needed a shop that truly knew that model, not a general Porsche/German car mechanic. With its crazy history I think your Ferrari deserves to be put back to good running condition. Good luck with whatever you decide

Hello man it is Randall here, I sent you an email a while back wondering what happened to you and the car and you responded, Thanks for the update Bro, I was not expecting the multitude of problems. None of your problems are impossible to get over. You have some good suggestions in the comments to reach out to the You Tubers mentioned for help. It could be content first for their channel and then your channel. Or, maybe try reaching out to the clubs or even Ferrari Club of America for help. You also could develop a relationship with a mechanically inclined buddy to help you get the easy things fixed like the hoses that would save you a bunch of money. Research the best shop and have them do the work over a period of time. I think you could save money getting the work done sooner than later. The price of things is just going to keep going up. To get the things fixed is probably only going to go up. The worst thing you can have a car do is sit. If it sits long it may just develop more problems. Good luck bro and I look forward to seeing more content. You have a good story. You have a good cool car and it be cool to continue your story.

Have you tried Stewert's? I've taken my 360 there a few times and they take it in right away. One small job, one big job. Salerno's had me on a long waiting list then told me to find another place after Ben hurt his back.

Honda K swap it lol (But kind of dead serious) You could get a 500-600hp turbo setup swapped in for $15k-20k At least you could DRIVE IT, and ENJOY IT Then, slowly rebuild the Ferrari drivetrain, or source a better, lower mileage drivetrain. another 10 years, and these too will be bringing premium money I agree with no electric though....you'll DESTROY too much of the car to go back to ICE. Unfortunately, you'll LOSE $100k in value after spending $100k on electrifying it lol

Exactly what I was thinking. Deal with the hoses and gearbox issues/manual conversion. If you still find you need the motor rebuild, then cross that bridge. At the end of the day, you will have a manual 360 freshly rebuilt in perfect working order.

Definately don't EV it! The soul of a Ferrari, any Ferrari, is the sound, smell and feel. There's no joy in plugging in and driving silently a hundred miles. EV a Karman Gia, or maybe even a Porsche 996/986 with a bad engine, or an old 3 series. Glad you re-thought that one.
