I got an Ather 450 Apex!

Yup! I did. Ever since taking that first test ride of the Ather 450 back in 2019, i have really been wanting to get one. Long waiting periods and difficulties in charging made me go for a Vespa instead back then. But things have improved now. So when it was time for me to upgrade my in-town ride, I went for the Ather 450 Apex.

Bikes:
I've had several bikes since I started riding. But here are the bikes featured on the videos on my channel.
2013 Harley-Davidson Sportster 883 Superlow - I got this in late 2012 and had it until I sold it in 2019.
2019 Vespa VXL 150 - my in-town ride and hassle-free commuter.
2019 Royal Enfield Interceptor 650
2015 KTM 390 Duke - a used bike I acquired recently - a project bike, a fun bike and something Mrs. Volatile42 can learn to ride on.
2016 Kawasaki Versys 1000 - a very recent acquisition, to be my primary all-rounder.
2024 Ather 450 Apex - my new in-town ride and commuter.

Cameras:
Sena 10c - my primary camera initially and many of my earlier vlogs are shot with just this.
Sena 50C - replacement for the Sena 10C. This is also the camera that I always have on my helmet and thanks to its video-tagging mode, it's always recording, just like a dash-cam.
Gopro Hero 7 Black - my primary motovlogging camera.
Insta360 One X2 - a recent acquisition to experiment with 360 videos and the flexibility of choosing the angle later.
Insta360 Go 2 - another recent acquisition to act as a multi-purpose camera
And occasional footage from whatever phone I or my wife are currently using.

Removing the white theme for the Apex is still a dumb move and makes it hard to read the screen in direct sunlight. Magic twist is sick though!

Yeah, I was searching for the setting the first few days, only to realise that the special Apex UI doesn’t have it. Compromising function for aesthetics.

Yes, I too learned about them recently at the Ather Community Day event. Apparently they were using them for the airport transfers.

Yes, will try to do a highway run. More than the speed I would like to see how long it can sustain peak Warp+ performance and the impact on the range. Even in the city it reaches 100km/h quite easily (I have done 101 km/h) but you do notice performance dropping a little soon after. But it still does Sport mode like performance. Off-road, not sure about that 😅
Pls tell till now any issues with the apex?will u recommend it to me?

No real issues worth mentioning. It's mostly the same as the 450X. One thing is there is no day/white mode in the UI. It's always in dark mode. You would need to decide if it's right for you based on your riding history and preferences. Mainly - how important is performance to you?

How far can we go in wrap+ mode? Like in ola it's hardly 5km

@volatile42 see sir for me performance is important. 1.And as u said there is no white light mode but is this enough visible when riding below sunlight? Then it's fine for me 2.in ather 450x many have complained about tht there is a problem with the scooty rear mudguard is too small nd in rainy season the water reaches the pillion it's an issue and is this issue continues with the apex? 3. And also many reported the belt issue tht during rainy season it makes a lot of noice nd dust accumilates and in apex they covered the belt so still any issues about tht? 4.how r the breaks good enough as people said piche ka tyre skid krta hai high speed pe nd few customers feel breaks are not tht good in high speeds wt is ur point of view on tht? 5.in bootspace is there is a charger as if I charge my phone will it be like fast charging or decent charging or completely slow charging??? 6.

It’s not like that here. You can keep doing 80-90+. After a while the performance drops a little and acceleration will be a little slower but you can still do 80+. In the city you will hardly ever notice. I often touch 90-100 during my commute and also spend a good amount of time at 60-70 as you can see. Will try to show you another ride with just Warp+.

@tanishjain6146 the motor is physically the same but they are pushing more current into it to produce more power. So much so that it overheats if pushed hard and then the performance drops slightly. With the 450X they played it safe and didn’t utilise the full potential of the motor. 70km range is not true. Even with some fast riding you can easily get 110km. The regen control with the throttle is also something I really appreciate. The price difference was only around 20k for me compared to the 450X, and it was worth it for me. Won’t be for everybody of course and that’s fine.
