I got a job after 1 month after coding bootcamp!
Is it possible to get a job after coding bootcamp? A lot of people do fail, but I got really lucky. This is my story of how I learned how to code AND got a job (all in less than 6 months total).

Yo thanks for the Affirmations. It was exactly what I'd been looking for. I'm gonna play it every morning as part of my new extra-positive routine. Thanks for this too. Glad I subscribed!
The affirmations made me love this video!! I appreciate your tips! I am about to start a 26 week part-time bootcamp with Fullstack Academy....
Thanks for making these videos… so helpful…. I’m currently in the GATech part time bootcamp myself

Congratulations 🎉❤ love seeing other women do this!
Your dog is adorable
So cool that your background is in history. My BA is in history. Tried to make it work after undergrad for the past two years, but moving around every 6-months for seasonal NPS work is exhausting and not working for me. Just signed up for GA Tech's part-time bootcamp! Thanks for sharing your experience.

Right? I was just thinking, "I wonder how much she knows about 1840s france." Haha I say this because I wish someone on youtube would discuss the topic of 1840s france, since it seems like there isn't too much information about it besides the revolution. I was hoping to take a look into their lives before that. lol
Hi steph. Thanks for making these video! Your content is what im looking for. Will be starting coding bootcamp on Oct. We just migrated here in US, from Philippines. Thanks again.

Your content is so inspiring! I've been binge-watching your videos these days, and I couldn't help but wonder if you're Filipino (although I confirmed it through your GitHub, heh 😄 followed you btw). I also went through an intense 4-month coding bootcamp earlier this year here in PH (but it was free) just to get ready for my move to Canada in December. I'm looking to shift careers and hopefully land a tech job there. So, I've been watching tech vlogs about career shifts and job prep, given the different job markets and hiring processes between the West and PH. So glad to find yours, I'm learning a lot! Thank you for the helpful tips, advice, and resources!~ 😊

So glad I found your video! How exactly did you guys keep up w/ coding problems etc with your friends from bootcamp? Im just kind of lost of what to do after the fact and how to upkeep with everything if that makes sense? 😭

We just met up once a week to do leet code type problems together and discuss questions we had. We only did it the first month after bootcamp until we got jobs!

I’m about to start GA Tech Bootcamp soon. Would you say having a bootcamp certificate provides opportunities to be hired at big tech companies? Or will I need go back to school to even be noticed? Edit: I just watched and you answer that at the beginning 😂
Please what about in Bootcamps in state of Illinois ? Which ones are the best…in Sdet
Just so you know, from an experienced technical worker, resumes should be created to NOT distract the reviewer, so that they see all your great skills, their time is usually short so it’s best to have skills standout and not have colors and fonts that are distracting. When you’re applying for a professional job your resume should also be professional. You can be creative in other ways just not on a resume!
Hi Steph, I had a question about your experience coming off mirtazapine. Did you find near ceasing and ceasing taking the drug you had low blood sugar symptoms for a couple weeks and shed weight without much change in diet?
@stephf

I didn’t have any blood sugar change that I’m aware of. Did lose weight without trying!
So what kind of projects do you put on GitHub that actually stand out? Because I would imagine as a boot camp grad, especially with EDX that some of the projects are going to look familiar. So what would you recommend for a project for GitHub that would actually stand out and not look cookie cutter?
@stephf

i recommend coming up with an original idea that comes from your own interests or hobbies! it doesn’t have to be huge but build something that solves a problem for a specific user group. and don’t forget to write unit tests!
Stheph thanks for the video, can I ask you which boot camp did you do?

Hmmm I’m not sure 🤔 I think it would depend on the company, since even among software engineers the salary can vary quite a lot

Hey Steph! Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm about to join a 12-week bootcamp. Your video inspires me to step forward in bootcamp. I hope I can survive the challenge in a tight schedule during the bootcamp. I'm subscribing to your channel. More videos about your experiences. I want to add you in LinkedIn too. Thanks!
