I get my Wife Lifting Weights for the First Time in FOUR YEARS

Спорт

#Strongman #Gym
I'm back in the Shahlaei Strength Shed and this week I have to rope in a new training partner as Harry isn't available. See how Liz does when I get her squatting for the first time in four years, while I continue on my road to 140KG BW, while still making gains in the gym.

I've exercised in some form for much of my life, so my body isn't shocked if I hoist some weight or put in mileage on a track. I believe in practicality. Am mid-60's now...just want the body to retain a level of brute strength so if I fell into a deep hole, I could pull myself up and out...and sufficient cardio that I'd have enough stamina to manage it.

Another fun and helpful vid! Thank you for making and sharing. I am not really into strength training but you kept me watching all the way through. Intrigued by that "strongman cheat" though. If you are relying on good fingertip grip I bet some hangboard sessions would be helpful. Thank you Liz for joining in! I am closer to your level than Loz's and will try to copy what you were doing as I am just gingerly getting back to training after ankle repair. Loz - just socks? Is that because no footwear can stand all those weights or because you want to have better feel of where the balance is on your soles of your feet? Would you not need some footwear with ankle support when you go really big on the weights?

Hits home hard this video, I've had severe Parkinsonism for 4 years until about a month ago when my symptoms drastically lowered (still a bit slow and so on), but I'm able to train once again and I'm extremely weak (and obviously the bulk of my muscle has gone). It's very hard to not look back and wonder what if this didn't happen as I was benching 145kg along with being in the best shape of my life, but as you both said, need to move forward with the body I have now thats it's become possible to train once again, keep the videos flowing you two. ;)

No gyms open in Los Angeles, so I opted for aerobics (track mileage) to gain some fitness. Helped some. Dropped twenty pounds of weight (and some belly fat) and increased my stamina by aerobically walking 2-5 miles every two days for 6 months. But burnout eventually hit me.
