I get LOVE ATTACKED by the MADAGASCAR WILDLIFE [S7-E97]

In this episode, I get to see an amazing group of lemurs up close in the wild, in Kirindy forest. Next, my local guide Didier and I ride back to Morondava, where I visit a place where they've rescued several different species of lemurs and look after them. Itchy Boots is friend of lemur!

*_"I must admit that I was puzzled by Noraly's decision to include Madagascar"_* I wasn't. Madagascar is a very unique place, because it's so isolated from the rest of Africa, it has a huge biodiversity. Approximately 90% of all plant and animal species found in Madagascar are endemic, meaning that they're only found in Madagascar.

I was in Madagascar about five years ago. I noticed how the locals protect the lemurs. It is very socially unacceptable to abuse a lemur. Vehicles stop when a lemur crosses the road. Poachers were a problem at one point, until a group of locals beat the heck out of the poachers and ran them out of the country. I was so good to see the people protecting the animals. You don't see this everywhere in the world. GREAT VIDEO Noraly!

Taking us through roads and pathways in the daily life of locals zeroing in on interesting scenes transmits a real feel of Madagascar more so than any other media. I hate to sound like an old granny, but I do hope you'll take some lessons after you get your bike and before you hit the road. I stopped driving my car for a year and a half, after driving for over 50 years with only one accident and no moving violations. When I was ready to go again, I signed up for five driving lessons through the local automobile club. I drove so badly during the first one that I am pretty sure the instructor was very relieved when I said I would like to take a break before our next lesson and think about things. After two weeks of thinking and re-reading the road rules manual, I did much better during the next four lessons. Good wishes from Liz and Ginger (pic left) in Australia.

Being a "lemur tree" was quite an experience for you Noraly and I can't help giggling when they jumped on you. Fascinated by you. I am intrigued though if they are smelly or not. Hope you can enlighten me on this, please. Thank you Noraly and thank you again for sharing this wonderful experience with us... More fun and adventures to come!
