I'd be interested in seeing you play a whole army against a lion piece (from Chu Shogi). This is how the piece works: (1) It can move like a king two times in succession in any direction they want [they can also capture one move and move away on their 2nd move][they can also capture a piece and return to their original spot, which the Japanese defines as "igui"] (2) It can jump to any second square in any direction [i.e. it can jump like a knight, but it can also jump to the second square diagonally or orthogonally].

Yes please! Fairy Chess videos are really interesting, you might also want to try some variants like S-Chess or Capablanca Chess, both of which features a rook+knight AND a bishop+knight

Fun fact: If the Amazon is in the center of the board, it controls 35 squares, not including the one it's on, which is over half the board. This includes a 5x5 grid around itself, and it is capable of checkmating the king with no help from other pieces

Giving the Knight the power of the Queen is a disaster, combined Bishop and Rook is already powerful enough

play agianst martin but you can only move 1 piece at a time. so if you move a knight you have to keep moving it until it gets taken.

But........ this is the shape of an arch bishop the amazons shape is a knight with a queen crown on its head .

I think if you had known in advance about the lack of promotion rule and so not wasted time pushing that pawn, you would have had a much better shot.

That's an interesting point. I bet it would be useful to keep pawns closer to the king in this kind of situation. I wonder how it would affect the strategy if you treated it like defense in a gambit, since the amazons are already so active at the beginning

Love these kinds of videos, would love to see these kinds of videos. Also, the Amazon is the only piece that can deliver a checkmate without the help of ther pieces, for example, if you are delivering checkmate with your queen, you need some other piece like a knight or bishop etc helping it, but the amazon doesn't need that support from other pieces.

It not Amazon literally,It's are archbishops It's know in KZread chess as Bishop and knight that move letter L and can be diagonal line combined by bishop.The Chess Vibes has wrong name.The Fairy Piece should be changed name by the Chess Vibes Now.🤔

It might not be determinative, but it would definitely help if the new piece didn’t look like a knight.

I'd love to see a video of you playing king of the kill. Maybe spice things up by weakening your side, and play KotH against Martin, or strengthen his side.

Wih Promotion it's easy. You just need to prevent some easy Checkmates an Push the a- and h- Pawns and leave everything else as it is. Both Pawns must be blocked at some Time and the Rest is winning.
