I Found a Dispersed Campsite down a Horrible Trail.
Ойын-сауық
Welcome back! This week I headed out as soon as I got of work Friday. I drove a few hours north to a dispersed campsite that I had come across on the travels in the past. I was looking forward to a relaxing weekend on the lake. The area looked different from the past, logging crews were cutting trees, but I knew the forest road deadened at a lake. And that lake has one single campsite with a fire ring!
I shouldn't have been surprised to see someone had found my secret spot. I hope he enjoys it as much as I wanted too! By this time, it was 6:30 and rain was starting to fall. Of course, I didn't make a second plan and my phone didn't work so I couldn't look at all the pined locations on Google maps. I decided to search with help from my Garmin. I ended up on an old trail. I couldn't see any tracks on the road and grass was growing in the ruts, so I knew no one had driven down it in a while. I was contemplating turning around, it was about 8pm at this time which meant I had been driving for over 4 hours. That is when I came across this honey hole. When I first pulled in, I thought ''this was one of the best-looking dispersed campsites I had ever seen!'' Maybe it was because I was desperate, maybe I didn't want to drive and hour and a half back to Grand Rapids to sleep at Walmart, but this felt perfect. After spending an entire weekend all alone in nature I realized this was as close to perfect as a dispersed campsite could get. I appreciate you coming along for the ride. I'll see you again next week.

Hi Kenny. Thank you for helping me relive my younger days of camp fires, fishing and hiking in my home state of Minnesota. Nothing better than a good fish fry and exploring the Lost 40. So many lakes and so little time.
Glad to see the fogger worked to get rid of the mosquitos, the MN unofficial state bird.😅 liked how the tripod worked on that Huge stake.

I made one camping trip with my Arctic Fox 992, the weekend before Memorial Day weekend. It ended 5 days early due to the suspicion that I broke my wrist, so I packed up, headed home and went to get x-rays. Yep, it’s broke, so my camping trips for at least the next 6 weeks are all canceled. This means I will be relying on other people’s adventures to get my “camping fix”. Keep the videos coming!
