"I fled Afghanistan & left my BABY behind" (ORIGINAL)

After the Taliban took control of Kabul in August 2021, the U.S. evacuated more than 77,000 Afghans to this country. The desperate images of those evacuations, mothers handing their children over fences, people clinging to the wheels of planes, were seared into our conscience.
Separated from her family after fleeing the Taliban, Benafsha Qasemi is among a growing number of women who sought refuge in America and talk about their lives now and everything they gave up. In this session, we hear Qasemi talks about her family, including her baby which she left behind, and of the uncertainties of her future.
According to the UNHCR, the UN refugee agency, there are almost 2.5 million registered refugees from Afghanistan-the second-largest refugee population in the world. As the Taliban claws back power, and as violence continues to tear through the country, the numbers will rise.
Give us your valuable opinion in the comment section, and if you think more people should watch this testimony of Benafsha Qasemi and her life story fleeing from Afghanistan, share it on social media and with your friends and family. Be sure to follow us for more updates.

No mother should have to do what you were forced to do. I am so sorry that no one listened to your pleas. I pray you and your family will be reunited quickly. ❤

She did what she had to do ...not what she wanted to do. We should take a moment of silence for her. I'm so sorry Momma!

Love to you and your child. Mamas never stand down. The tragedy is that we don't stand together. The very breath of us together would terrify an army. Any army anywhere, anytime. Men know that we have only an on-and-off switch. Nurture or kill. Men play. We don't have time for play unless we feel safe. We don't ever feel safe unless our children and siblings are safe.

He's a boy so he'll be fine. He'll grow up hating his mother because of the Talibans control. She needs to come to peace with what happened at least her baby is alive and well with family.

It is not her fault at all. So sad to study, to educate thinking of a better future, and then had to go backward. Being a woman is like a cero to the left. Circumstances force people to leave their most beloved ones, for better. (the kid’s life). Id rather listen to their argument or plea in English.

Mom ❤ it is ok to CRY and to feel not wanting to do anything. Here they have a saying. Not nice to hear but is the truth. Everything happens for a REASON. Good you have another child. Just pray for other child to be safe with angels and God Jesus Christ. He makes miracle. One they you will see your child. Maybe in this world or aftter death. After death we never die. We will reunite again with our family. Just life your life good. Be responsible. Take care of your child you have. And go with the air with your head up and destiny will take care of the rest. Be very strong. Means concentrate on what you have to do now with your child you have now. He also needs you. Be a good mom. And everything will come out good. Sometimes have no control in our destiny.😊🙏🏻

They need to stop treating women so badly there and stop hating on them they are the only reason why they exist, without women no men would exist. A lot of them taliban pretended to be Afghans to keep from being beat to death when the USA 🇺🇸 troops were there then they went back to their taliban selves after the USA troops left that's why so many of them knows English now.

The Biden administration did such a great job in Afghanistan :) The results were such a success. I'm sure she's really grateful for what they did getting her to the US and not her baby. Biden 2024!
