@@jamesduehring2770 good point. They certainly work similar to rope ladddrs when using enough bonemeal. Though for building I think ladders on trapdoors looks better in most cases.

The fact that Gem sounds more excited about beetroot seeds than diamonds or a golden apple just encapsulates her videos perfectly. Love the series, has been a great way for me to get to see some of 1.18 before I have time to play it!

Hey Gem, the correct geological term for the location of your base is a "Pound". A pound is an area of land fully enclosed by a landmass, or multiple landmasses, in this case, mountains. I hope this little piece of information will give you joy, and that it will help you come up with names for your base area, like "Snowy Pound" or maybe "Gemini Pound". I discovered Gem because of Hermitcraft so I decided to check out her content. It is really nice because she is wholesome and pretty calm. I have her videos just running in the background as background noise for when I am playing a game or when I am drawing and it's perfect because she is not jarring. There are 2 things that I love about this series so far 1. The way the world looks is amazing and the generation in that world is incredible 2. I love the fact that gem is just enjoying herself so much and she can just be calm and explore things and it feels anything else that is happening doesn't matter in this world. It's just you, gem and the wonderful world of Minecraft.

watching this series is like therapy to me

I spent 14 Minecraft days searching for a place to call home in 1.18 in a new world, after 9000 blocks on sea and land I found a beautiful mountain and started building my house, it was the perfect home... thank you for inspiring me to take this journey Gem (is great)! Also I travelled further than ever before.

The cave is sooooo beautiful!!!! You should add some of this moss and spore blossoms to decorate your house!!! And, you should take those things that look like little trees (I don't know what they're called, sorry.) and bonemeal them. They grow into amazing trees!!! These trees are good decoration!

I never realized how cool these mountains would look, seeing you around them makes them look amazing. I love how more realistic it looks now, and the caves are beautiful!

I dare say, this series might be one of my favorite Minecraft SSP series, up there with Etho’s Let’s Play. I do hope this continues for quite a while.

This new series is so fun to watch! I haven't had time to play the new update myself, but watching someone so genuinely happy play in such a fun way really puts a smile on my face. 😊

that valley is such a great place for an isolated village, such an amazing find. cant wait too see what you do with the place, and what ideas you got for the valley.

I love how she placed a few leaves in the cave with the dead end and found an opening to it replaced and destroyed a few blocks and the area looks so much better

Gem is one of the most understanding and cutest content creators I know that's why I've been here for 2years I love how she is so into magic

I watched the start of your series noticing it had the kind of crafter valley I was looking for, but wanted to see what was out there for seeds It seems like so many crater seeds just have nothing special for caves or are dripstone. You either spent hours finding this or got lucky and it's just perfect in every. I'm so glad you are having so much fun! This is the perfect seed.

Gotta make this world asap! Your world is like my dream world. Imagine having 2 villages, 2 geodes (if that's correct), diamonds and a lush caves! Literally everything.

Your grove reminds me so much of the second book in the Earth's Children series called The Valley of Horses. I haven't read the story in forever, but your grove is bringing back all the memories.

Gorgeous! My first 1.18 spawn was a GIGANTIC badlands biome that kinda four-corners into desert, savannah, and jungle. Very cool spot. Excited to get my giant, mesa-top mansion going....maybe a few suspension bridges.....hmmm, so many ideas~

Imagine a whole base set up down there in that lush cave, with the geode as its core. Now that a diamond pickaxe is on the table, setting up a nether portal there should be pretty easy.

If you have an elytra already, fly around looking for the azalea trees. I found that to be much safer and faster to find lush caves. You might also spot such a tree when walking around, preferably in open areas or on top of the trees in a forest.

Caves like that can be found relatively easily in any seed. Just go and explore a bit. I just found a giant cave that was open to the air. Basically a 60 block deep, 200+ block diameter crater filled with dripstone.

I often get a bit tired of minecraft but whenever I watch you play inspiration strikes immediately! Can't wait to play on this seed🤩

I'm actually kinda hyped for this seed. I spawn into a world and run for thousands of blocks trying to find somewhere good enough to live, and it ends up getting boring after a short while. This seed is actually pretty cool.

I don’t know why, but playing minecraft just bores me to tears within minutes however I can watch Gem play for hours.

That valley is really cool, reminds me of moomin valley. Makes me wanna replace all the dirt blocks with moss and green concrete powder to make the hillside green, put tulips everywhere as Tove Jansson did in her books, make a river through it where Snufkin can put his tent and then build moomin house.
