I finally met THE RED SHEPHERDESS!!! ...our SHEEPISH trip to the UK (part 2)

YOU GUYS!!!
After following The Red Shepherdess for what feels like EVER... I finally got to meet her IRL!!
Her and her husband Danny and wee one Blake took time out of their weekend to tour us around their farm, and the beautiful lake district.
Honestly, it was a dream meet-up and both Mark and I can't wait to visit them again!
The rest of our trip was also a dream... we travelled to Edinburgh, Scotland and hopefully checked all the big spots off our list of places to see!!
The Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle, Victoria St, Greyfriar's Kirk, Arthur's Seat and so much more!!
Thank you for hanging out with us for these last couple of travel vlogs... but now I'm back to reality getting a barn ready for.... BABIES!!!

Thank you for taking us on your trip to Scotland. There was no need to apologize for not filming enough. It was your private lives and you have a right to live it and film it the way you want. March 10th will always be Jesse's day of oh my god i have cancer. Her tattoo of each of you writing I love you has special meaning for all of us also. We love Jesse's compassion strength and motivation. It was great to see the three dogs greet you with such Joy.

Sandi, I am so excited for you. I have watched these posts several times now. How wonderful for you and your family. It’s like my favorite characters in my favorite book all come together and create an explosion of memories. I feel like I was tight there with you peeking out of your pocket. I’m sorry you didn’t get to go to Dalscone. I m sure you would like them as they have the same respect for their animals as you do. Looking forward to many more memories with you. Hugs from Debbie Travis in Savannah, Georgia.

@@Ladywolf2263 No doubt about all of that! Funny and intelligent contribute to his snarky humor. Intelligent, hardworking, and not suffering fools make him gruff (in my eyes). He's not a fluffy, chatty person on camera like other channels. He says what needs to be said, puts a zinger on the end, and not much more. I agree with your assessment of his character!

Sandi and Mark. Seeing you both cry while while reading Jess’ post made me feel very happy and very sad. I lost my daughter to ovarian cancer in November of 22. Then lost my husband to a freak sepsis infection six months after. Please count your blessings and hold one another close always. One never knows when the last day comes. I wish our medical fiasco in British Columbia would be over!!!give your dear girl a very big hug from me next time you see her.

We are having medical fiasco here in the states also. I need to have an endoscopy and I can’t have it done until April 23rd!! I have some real issues going on with my stomach right now. It’ll be bad for me having to wait so long if my Barrett’s esophagus progresses to cancer like my dads did and I’m having to wait for this endoscopy. The only way to have it sooner is to have a bad episode and go in through the emergency room. They may or may not even do it then. 🤷‍♂️

I am so very sorry for your losses. I too lost my husband in 2011 just days past 47 then one son in feb 2022 age 33 both heart related. its devastating esp losing a child. that was worse for me then my husband of 25.5 yrs although both were bad. I lost my mom at 17 to ovarian cancer. her funeral was on my 18th birthday. I wouldn't wish losing loved ones this way on anyone. I live in Ontario CAnada too and its scary to see the state of our health care system. i am a former RPN and have kids and nieces all in health care too. my heart aches for u because I know what its like and yes tomorrow isn't guaranteed so make sure those around u know how much u love them and spend quality time with them. let the little stuff go. my son kept asking me to go fishing with him but we were preparing my house to sell so didn't take the time other than once. the bugs were so bad we left after 10 mins and now i wish i had said to heck with the house lets go. lesson learned. now i'm terrified of losing one of my other 3 kids because i don't know that i'd survive it again. I'm thankful that Jess got a happy ending and pray she lives a long full life. I think her tattoo idea was absolutely wonderful and very special. thanks sandi for including us in your vacation. i loved it. always wanted to see scotland and ireland as its my ancestory but never could afford the trip. so this was wonderful.

Definitely this was a heartwarming and memorable VLOG … actually all the footage of your trip has been such! Thank you so much for taking us along and showing bits of the various excursions you endeavoured! Such a beautiful place with such amazing old world architecture … bygone eras! Especially loved the cobblestone streets everywhere. I know you guys have thoroughly enjoyed yourselves and I’ve no doubt this will be the first of many vacations. Did I forget to mention I love to travel vicariously. 😊 See you back home! I’m hoping your special guest is Tara … I know she travelled to Banff and Calgary areas … tourist spots for sure! I’m hoping she either stopped by on her way out or way back home, to your place for a quick visit! Wow … this has been an exciting March 2024! Speaking of which March … that was a lovely post Jess composed. She’s certainly grown over the last few years. First, braving it on her own in Iceland … and then secondly, surviving the last year and a bit and doing it gallantly! I can safely say we’re all very proud of her! Ciao! 🙏🙌❤️🇨🇦🌺

Jess, could not have written that any better! I have tried for almost 12 years to put my journey into words with no luck. As I sat here hearing her beautiful post I cried and agreed. All the awful chemo's, surgeries and radiations I made it through but relive that day of hearing those awful words over more than I'd like to say. A new normal as you try to explain but can't and try to figure out just what that is. Everything changes in an instant as your world will never be the same. I LOVE what Jess did it's so beautiful and touching. As those of us know you are not alone in your battle of "C" your loved ones fight alongside of you and what a beautiful thing to do to maybe show just what that meant to her! Loved it Jess!!!

It looks like you had a good time, a shame it wasn't sunny. You tried out some of the pubs, and did a lot of walking. Returning home is always a joy. I wonder if the sheep miss you as much as the dogs. Love from Mike. ❤

Sun in Scotland in March? I know Sandi is an amazing woman but miracles....... They were lucky it wasn't pouring with howling winds everyday. Best wishes from the Scots/English border and previous resident of Scotland 💜

Jess's post made me cry. You are all so very lucky to have each other. I loved seeing Mark in holiday mode, the tears of laughter, his sense of humour really shined. You, as ever shine with that smile of yours. The Lake District is a beautiful place to stay and Scotland is breathtaking. You got quite the welcome back eh? Safe to say you were missed. Thank you for taking us with you. ❤❤❤

Kids know how to get us right in the heart! Jess gets that talent from you, Sandi - I still cry whenever I read your letter to Amy. A couple of years ago, when my grandson was 9 or 10, he gave me a handmade card with two random puzzle pieces on the outside. Inside, the pieces joined together, with "You complete me." I sobbed when I read it, and I still do!

I live in Eugene Oregon and looking at the hillside as you hike down from the castle tour. I see Scotch Broom. We have it all over here and I am so allergic. I wonder if I could ever get away from it, obviously not in Scotland I think that’s where it comes from. What an amazing trip. Jess made us all cry too. Love you guys.
