These ewe lambs are FEISTY!! ...and they're putting on quite the show. | Vlog 758

Trying to endure the remaining days of this cold snap by helping Carissa with the sheep chores each morning, but also trying to enjoy actually having snow on our down time.
This week is all about starting the process of getting our ewe lambs ready for their first season, beginning with vaccinating and hoof trimming...
I just always forget how challenging it is working with these young ones.
Also speaking to a really kind email, and a comment that I thought should be addressed.

Awh, what a sweet and kind post. I can’t imagine the struggles of raising children with disabilities, but I’m so glad you pull out the positives in Sandi’s videos and gain strength from her actions to help you day to day. You will persevere too. I admire the strength it took from you to write this post. Sandi is such a wonderful mother, wife and friend…even to the sheep. ❤️ I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers and if ever you need a pick me up, her channel is free and tons of binge watching might just be what you need. Many hugs.

Anyone who enjoys the recreational aspects and enjoying winter with snowmobiles would've immediately understood what Mark meant when he replied to your question about the trails. I live in Newfoundland, where the winter is a HUGE part of our life, not just for recreation, but also for some hunting and wood gathering, with which we utilize our snowmobiles for as well, and without adequate snowfall, the trails are garbage and we are unable to get what we done completed. There has been some winters where there has not been adequate snowfall, and it causes stress in many ways. But as a farmer and rancher, you understand this as much as anyone!! My days are complete with Sandi and Her Sheep!!! I'm one of Sandi's Sheeple!!!! Cindy Ings Newfoundland, Canada

But Sandi, remember for every ugly comment, you get 1-2k sweet and loving comments. If you start reading a mean comment, stop reading that comment and move onto the next. Let your sheeple handle the haters. We come out in flocks to defend you!! Lol

Being positive is a choice we make every day. If we choose to be positive, that is how our day goes. If we choose negativity, everything is negative not just work. Negativity spills over to people, chores, travel, weather and just plain everything. Your positive approach to everything, Sandi, is just one thing that makes you attractive to watch, attractive to listen to. No one likes a grouch. 😃

absolutely right on. happiness is a choice. do bad things happen still of course but generally u can choose to be miserable and sit in a corner and cry or u can choose to see the positive all around u smile and look for the good things. i never understand those who choose to be miserable then try to bring everyone else down in the pit with them. sandi tries so hard to be positive in her days and its not fair that nasty ppl make her feel bad.

We got so much rain and high river water that we could ice-skate on the onion and potato fields. Pastures are a bit to deep to freeze solid. After 3 years of drought the rain is good to replenish ground water reserves. But everything is full and there is so much more rain coming. Basements and crawlspace flood everywhere. Even the farmers are done with all this water now.

I live by what Thumper the rabbit said on the Bambi movie: "If you don't have something nice to say, don't say nothin." 🐇 Think about what you are about to say before you say it. Nice is very nice! That adorable face of the white and light brown lamb. So adorable. I got tears with what the new sheep farmer wrote just helping to pull out the baby. He knew what to do by watching you. People have to have some fun. It was great to see you out snowmobiling. I wish I had a little cabin to go to. It's still on your property but it gets you away to relax. It is wonderful. The black sheep you had to lift and turn around to go out was so funny. It looked like once it got out it was walking and saying "the indignity of it all". I just laughed. I say this many times but Carissa is a blessing for your farm and vice versa. You are good friends and work together so well. I don't know why but my day goes better if I watch you during the day and I go to sleep better if I watch you at night. Maybe it is the basics of what life really is and that is farming and growing things. I know others have said it too. I also feel like doing more after watching you. I feel like I am a friend you just don't know and you have a million of those.

You do an awesome job showing what real life on the farm/ ranch is. THANK YOU!! As for what that person said about getting moisture everyone should be happy for what they get.

I'm not a farmer but I don't understand why people make comments about what you do in your personal time not working. It feels like they don't want you to have hobbies or fun for that matter in your spare time. You work hard everyday and to me you are an inspiration and even being able to take a camera with you to do barn chores thank you I find your content very educational and my daughter and love all the animals. Thank you for sharing your life.

Hi Sandi! Very sweet comment that you shared from the sheep farmer. I must tell you that every time you "holster" the trimmer, I have to smile. You remind me of my Grandpap holstering his gun after shooting. Nice childhood memory. Glad you had a chance to do some snowmobiling. I've never had the opportunity, but it looks like fun! 🚆 Have a great and safe day. Love you guys ❤🐑🐑🐑

When I watch this channel, I think of my father’s family who moved to Canada from Scotland in the 1800s. Two brothers moved upstate New York, particularly to raise sheep. I watch the new techniques for 2024 - the injections you give for chlamydia, the equipment you have to move the hay from the fields to the barnes, the nanny to feed the babies, and think about how much they would love this new technology none of which would have been available in the early 1800s. You are farmers and you are showing daily life the hard work of keeping the farm going but also family life with the cabin, the Christmas tree, reading books and snowshoeing. Do you need that balance for a happy life

Hi Sandi, I want you to know what a totally AMAZING person you are! You unselfishly share your passion/work with the world, your 'warts and all' sheep business, your family with us all! We are a part of your 'flock' who, through your vlogs are able to share your hopes, dreams, loves and life with you! We are privileged to be on this journey with you! Please don't take those negative comments to heart! I doubt if those people put their lives out there as you do! I started out watching because of all the 'lambie goodness' (what's not to love about a 'lamb tornado?!!) But along the way, I grew to love and appreciate you, your family, the connection you have and love you show to all! You are a totally awesome inspiration! Let the outpouring of love given by those who love you, help to override the very few negatives that occasionally arise! They are not worth it! Let the love shown, help diminish the very few small minded comments and know that there are so many more of us, who love you and your channel because of your openness, honesty and love that you show! Love from Tasmania, Australia xxxxxxxxxx

Hey Sandi, I have watched your videos for two/three years now. Although not a farmer of any kind, I love watching work with your sheep and Mark working on the grain side of farming. Also everybody including farmers are entitled to down time, and if your lived in a cold climate as you have in your area of Canada, so what if you go out on snowmobiles, it would be like somebody in a warmer climate heading out on a beautiful warm sunny day for bicycle ride or hiking at the weekends. Your videos mainly bring me joy, I followed Jessica’s cancer journey with you Mark crying along with you worrying until the next video came out etc, and was so happy when Jessica got her scan results and was able to return to school.
