I was in a mentally abusive relationship for 5 years and I can’t think of a single person that hasn’t told me either that I look so much better or while we were together, why are you even with him? Hindsight is 20/20 though, I could have done so much more with myself had I seen what all my family and friends were telling me.

I now have a fiancé and we have three babies together (We both also have a seven year old from our past relationships too) and we’re just one big happy blended family! My fiancé had the same kind of abusive relationship that I was in and it’s been really great having someone who understands what I actually went through and is patient with me navigating through our relationship.
