It is so hard when your babies grow up and move out and away. But having grandchildren is a whole new world. It is the best.

Bro on god when you said you never felt the power of a hug until you hugged your daughter. That’s some real shit. Like hugs were always just so normal and yea they were loving and romantic with your partner and everything. But when it’s your own creation with nothing but pure love for you. That shit hits different 🙏🏻

Being a good parent isn't easy. It isn't just a responsibility. It is one of the hardest most thankless jobs any person can take on. It's even more than that it's a special honor & privilege. Just know this in your heart & allow it to settle deep into you mind & soul...The proudest & most painful moment in every good parents life is always the same for each & every good parent. Not all good parents live to see it these days, but if you do it will be as beautiful & painful for you as for all those who came before you. That is the moment when you see your child truly grown, not just physically but fully mentally, spiritually an adult. That moment when you KNOW, if GOD took you out of this world in the next moment, the child you raised could not only survive but thrive without you because you raised them right. Listening to you speak about how your daughter inspires you to be more , achieve more & dream more, tells me you have the attitude to go that distance & experience that moment. GOD BLESS.

My oldest son is 23 years old. He is about to purchase his 1st home and he went out of town this weekend to celebrate a friend's birthday. I woke up at 3:30 a m to this text... "Mom I can absolutely not wait for this house I am so excited I am sooo thankful for you and everything you have done for me to get me to this point I love you ❤️" It is so hard when they grow up but things like this just remind you why it was so worth it ❤ my heart is so full

They will always be your babies regardless of how old they are. Im 35 and a good hug from my mama always does the trick. My daughter is 13 and I will always be present and here for her until I die. It's so hard watching them grow up and letting g go though all u wanna do is protect them from evil.

Once you are a parent you never stop having a child they just aren't around as often, I lost my mother a few years back and every time things get tough I just want to call her and ask what I should do, you never stop being a parent even after they leave.

As much as I hated seeing you not do as much upchurch reactions , it helps my soul seeing you dive into my roots. Songs I was raised with. Fun fact. Kenny Chesney played football at Gibbs HS in east Tennessee and was told he was too small to play big time ball. I use to mow his father's yard every week. I love Kenny Chesney. Love ya homie. This song means alot more now to me because im a father. #CreekSquad #TennesseePride Edited: I'm also a single father of two daughters . Me and you have alot in common. My two girls are 6 and 8 and playing softball. I'm a proud daddy.

I was 16 with my first one. I wanted to be a Dr. Everyone said I wouldn't make it if I had it. I didn't listen. We got married and 35 years later we have 5 wonderful sons and 12 grandchildren. I didn't become a doctor but I decided to be a nurse. Hubby is retired AF Msgt. and most of the people that said we wouldn't make it or last, didn't make it or last. They still living in same place barely surving.

Juat how there's no way to truly be prepared to be a parent, i dont think there is any way to be prepared for them to grow up. I think you prepare for it the way you prepare for parenthood if you can. You teach them as best as you can about how to deal with this insane world, you check the oil and the tires, make sure they have the card for any emergencies, hug and kiss em and pray.

damn, the missus and I are dreading the day my kids fly the coop...everyday is slowly becoming a struggle...they are not even in double digits. Yet, they can nonchalantly hang up on us when they finish the conversation leaving us hanging on the phone just for a lil longer wondering what the hell just happened...so many mixed emotions. I'm supposed to be the one that has it together...this sucks!!!

I was pregnant at 16, bad part was it was with a 16 year old kid that went to school together. Seventh and eighth grade, then all of us that grew up & went to school with each other started High school. Large high school, and pretty much found new friends and other interests. What was even more terrible was I never even thought of this guy, other than he was a pest 😑. In fact I was in love, (who knew about what real love even was at 16 🙄!) with this older guy of 22. Dumb young me didn't have a clue, but my so called boyfriend I found out had two kids with another girl 10 miles away! 😥 I cried and was so hurt, then mad, then revenge 🤪. One night a couple weeks after pouting, my friend said, let's go over to little Danny's, no one is there but Danny and he said we could drink beer and dance and just have a little fun. So us two girls begun drinking Red Beers and we were both dancing around the entire living room having a great time. Then a knock came at Danny's door, we ask Danny did you ask or call someone to come over? He said, nope..When he opened the door there stood my grade school classmate and his cousin. Danny invited them in they brought more beer and some pot.We were having an awesome time listening to great music, laughing, dancing, a small amount of kissing, no big deal! The alcohol and pot combined messed us all up, thankfully none of us had a car, and only lived in the other side of tow😮n. So I'm sure you can figure out for yourselves the rest of the story..One, one night stand, 5 months later I found out that my bladder infection was actually a pregnancy 😭. WAKE UP CALL!!! My son will be 46 in July, and my daughter will be 43 next month. Same daddy, it wasn't easy, but those kids of mine are the best part of my complete life!!😅❤❤❤

The “my life is over” thing is an American mentality cause the US makes almost impossible to survive even as just a single person. Don’t know how the hell people there survive with a child. When you live in a country with free healthcare, real wages and a strong social safety net your only concern is to live your best life and bring your kids along for the ride
