I Finally Caught My First Coho Salmon in 2020 (Float Fishing)
Known for their ferocity and speed, Coho Salmon can put up an impressive fight when hooked. Be it from the boat or from shore, anglers better be ready to match their skills against a Coho. I have been looking for an opportunity to catch one of these fierce fighters since my first trip to the river this fall and I finally got what I have been dreaming about. The Coho salmon I found in this video were among a few individuals in the river system I fish. I hope this will be the beginning of the Coho Salmon run and hopefully, there will be more Coho Salmon fishing in the upcoming weeks. Great Clip ! Were u using beads for coho too ? Do u also use beads for Chinook? What size of beads, tippet and mainline ? Excuse me for all these questions !

Yes, I usually use both 8mm beads and roe bags but the day of this video fishing with beads was very productive. For the list of gears I used in this video you can see it in the description. Cheers!

Trust me I tried but in this low clear water they see my rig super well. I even saw many of them swimming away from my rig as it drifted to school of fish. The salmon were practicing social distancing on me with any leader heavier than 5lb on that day.
