Unfortunately, her habit of evading questions and not understanding her financial situation has contributed to her repeated failure with Financial Peace University. Honesty has to come first. @@SuperDannyrulez With the military, there are two types. One where you can work and one where you cannot. Also, some of the disability ratings are temporary, meaning when your injury or injuries are healed, you no longer qualify for disability. It's very different from the civilian sector. For instance, you go into the military and you develop sinusitis that causes you to have to frequently go to the doctor and be put on medication. Well, when you get out you can file disability. The rating is based on the severity of the issue that was documented while you were on Active Duty.

They compensate veterans for injuries and illnesses they picked up while serving, it's not just about providing money because of an inability to work. She's definitely omitting some information, which is sad, because Dave Ramsey is never critical without being encouraging.

She probably makes more than him (or he's passed) If he had gotten custody (which is more rare for father's) she'd be paying him child support 😂

If the disability is private insurance, good! You pay the premium and whatever the contract says, that's the benefit. But if it's public money, I object. She can work as shown by the fact that she is working. If she needs to improve her skills to make more, she can do it.

Disabled vet with medical bills. Tell me again why single payer healthcare is so great? She should be in that position. The other stuff her fault but the VA should be covering her medical needs.

Well, I have my criticisms of our NHS system in Britain. However, from what I can see, the American system is out of control. People should not be going broke for medical procedures.

I don't think someone who works a full time job and looking for another is lazy. However, she is undisciplined and living beyond her means. If you don't know how much debt you have.....then you are also...clueless.

Well, she has been in the military, so I would not assume that she is undisciplined. Whatever this disability is, it has definitely affected her organisation. At least she called Dave to admit to some of her problems and get some advice, which is more than others have done.
