"Funny" thing is that USSR at the end of war actually had manpower issues, IIRC some units were starting to get demobilized in 1944 so that there would be people actually working on fields back at home - and that was with "just" 27 million dead, of whom most were civilians (thus women, children, elderly for a good part, not conscriptable men). Something about divisions taking Berlin having like 40-60% of their required headcount fulfilled. Well, it just shows that HoI series has some ways to go.

Yeah, military casualties (dead, wounded, missing etc) were around 23 million, yet people get their information from movies and propaganda and think they had unlimited manpower and won using human waves lol

What was the divisional stat debuff from the line generals being over capacity (30 divisions when they can only handle 24) and the army group general controlling 7 armies instead of 5? That probably made things a lot harder for the USSR than they should have been both for the defense and the counterattack.

10 width rifle divisions with basic rifle equipment (Type 88) is literally all I have when playing as China. And then a few elite divisions with 1 line artillery battalion (usually 6 to 10). And the starter 12 widths sometimes get bolstered to 14 or 16 width.

I have never played this game and have no real desire to but your videos are highly entertaining.

Industry is just as important as the Stalin tree (Stalin tree if going historical), ignoring either will result in your country getting fucked Edit: ok I see what you mean, speed running through the purge so you can solely focus on army improvements and industry is usually what you wanna get through, but I guess he’s just having a good ol’ meme game

What are your thoughts on building infrastructure before building any factories? Is the time saved building on 100% infrastructure eventually better than just starting on whatever infrastructure is there? Can you do a video on this?

I once played as anarchist Spain until the 1970s and cored 1B manpower. I’d love to see somebody attempt to take down that kind of super Spain, even in the most unfair way, just to see if it can be done.

It's funny because just today I finished kinda the same campaign - NKVD-cossac -penal divisions ussr with worst Stalin picks in focuses - and I managed to only make it to 5.5 man casualties (batteleplan helped a lot)

I think it would so cool if you did, I have yet to do see someone try it, and I know I wouldn't be able to do it myself. There is wone thing that i dont understand in HIO4. Yesterday i played as Poland with Historical Focus and Ironman on and in the and i won against the Commentern and the Axis. BUT you finished the Game in 1949 with 5.86M losses at the German side and the had zero manpower left. I finished the game 1947 with 11.46 Losses on German side and they had an other 2.4 mio manpower left....How is this possible? Can someone explain me how the AI get so many man?

In the movie they had a rifle for every second man but in reality there was 1 rifle for 4 men. True story B)

The factory is making those horse costumes, with one man as the head and one man in the rear. So technically it takes two manpower to manufacture one horse.

ik anybody should already know but dont actually do this. if you do, then just know that 5 inf brigade division takes 5x casualties as 6 inf brigade divisions. 10w have the best org stacking, but PLEASE use 12w or you will run out of 20 year old men

The ai really needs an update in what divisions and templates it uses. Even just apart from how well the ai’s micro play is, that’s not what I’m talking about. If you ever look at the tank templates and divisions the ai uses, they’re god awful, and make the game just stupid. I shouldn’t be prioritizing attacking the armored parts of a frontline, I should be avoiding them
