He nearly pulled off the remarkable. Man U had much more of the ball but weren't doing that much with the ball. Palace had the better chances during that Game. After they scored I thought, 'if they could hold onto this lead for 5 minutes then they'll Win'. But Man U scored within less that time. There was no coming back after that Lingaard goal. Palace came close though. Pardew is a good Coach though, and did really well with that Team.

Great show as usual guys.
Pardew did put in some good results as manager whatever malcontents say: * 5th with Newcastle & manager of the month * Got West Ham to an FA Cup Final and almost won it except for a Gerrard wonder strike; may have got them promoted iirc? * Did a job for a time keeping Palace going in the EPL iirc 10th? Bear in mind many manager got sacked in one season this year, his record is above a number of manager. I'd like to thank him for all he's done. Don't really see why people go in for "slagging off" based on nothing these days perhaps simply taking a dislike to somone's personality in front of a camera.

Thanks for the memories Pards, didnt do to bad at Newcastle 5th placed finish and a canny jaunt in Europe the season after, well enjoyed by my boy and me 👍🏼
I'm glad Simon mentioned Reading even though Jim didn't because Alan really turned things around at Reading and got Reading promoted and on the way to becoming an established Championship side.
Would Simon Jordan one day may say that his biggest costly mistake was sacking Coppell to early or was it just a matter of not getting on. Nobody rated Alan Smith. I thank him for saving our club before and accepting the administration term so we didn’t get any more points deduction. We would probably be in league 1 or 2 today if it wasn't for him. Pardew on the other hand would like to thank him for his goal against Liverpool and thank him for letting us win the 2004 play off final .
What a genuinely nice guy, confident without being arrogant , i think most of us were underwhelmed about him being the first signing but the more we learn about him the more exciting it becomes.

Hopefully Pardew is a thing of the past now. He strikes me as a someone who expects to be paid millions for doing a half arsed job.
Simon smugly challenges Pardew for bringing up the west brom situation but not wanting to elaborate, forgetting that Pardew had been explaining why he took a break and then decided to do something different (go abroad ).
Remember when pardew was a regular on sky sports, backs himself a bit, loves a sunbed too

The choice to manage/work abroad is praiseworthy ; far too many little Englanders in football in my view.
I have to say, Alan Pardew is well liked. In fact, well loved. He told me that himself. No one else, just him. I tend to believe him. Every word in that interview there is Gospel.
Imagine David Meyer was there in same room with Alan Pardew
Pardew doesn't come across as a very self reflective and accountable man, which probably explains his lack of success. Too blase ("well i fancied going abroad, didnt really plan it..."). Well, hes had a good jolly on the back of it but sadly, its symptomatic of English managers compared to Spanish or Italian counterparts
