I don't regret RELOCATING from the UK🇬🇧 Back to Africa in Uganda after all that time.

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

I don't regret relocating from the UK back to Africa in Uganda.
Auntie Jackie relocated back to Uganda from the UK after staying in the UK for 30 years. Even with the glam and money idea that Africans are sold, she says locating back home has been the best thing to happen to her.
In this video she tells us some things she loves about being back home and some of her struggles since relocated back home.
She loves cooking so we had the conversation as she was cooking for us Tomatoes fried rice, by the way it tasted so good 😊.
She shares some of her story and day today challenges on her channel youtube.com/@AuntieJacquiesDi...
so please go there and subscribe to her channel because that's the way you will get more updates from her.
You can also follow me on all my other social media platforms ‪@LynneZaabu‬
I can't wait to meet you there.

I admire this lady for her bravery and honesty. There are lots of people who will rather die in poverty in the diaspora than go back home to start afresh. God in His infinite wisdom gave this lovely lady the courage to take this path. She is an inspiration to many people and best wishes to her in all her endeavors.

Jackie is a hero to me! Some people went to the UK and they are now homeless. Yes some people are ok, but the percentage is bellow average to be precise. Many go and they never come back because they feel ashamed, they end up dying there e.t.c. Jackie came back and surely she will be successful. Because the experience she has is enough. Going to the UK isn't the same as going to Heaven!!! We need to know that.

A small modification to that stove can take most of that smoke out of the kitchen. If you can get someone to add a pipe as a vent, it will reduce the amount of smoke you have to inhale.

It was creative what she did with those stoves (but she should open that kitchen up. with only roofing..(invest in those old fire-wood stoves (or make such a clay-pizza oven with chimney... that smoke isn't good for anybody's health even if that we accustome ourselves to it...

I get your idea about the smoke pipe, it's a bit late to include it now. It should have been added by adding an exit hole for the pipe. I think one day when the means allow she will be able to upgrade to a smoke free kitchen with a chimney and all.

Me Living In USA 🇺🇸 For The Last 30 Years From West Africa 🌍 I Remembered Packing My Stuft 20 Years Ago To Moved To Africa With $20,000 In Hands With My 4 Years Old Daughter. In 6 Months Later I Was Broke In Africa But Peaceful. I Ran To Africa Because I Was Depressed In USA 🇺🇸 No Money To Feed In Africa Will Cause More Depression For Me. I Quickly Called My Families In USA To Book My Flight ✈️ To Come Back To USA 🇺🇸 When I Came Back To USA 🇺🇸 I Learned Alot In Africa 🌍 Came Back To USA And Started Working So Hard. Now, 30 Years In USA 🇺🇸 I Bought Lands In West Africa And Started Building 6 Flats Apartments Building In Africa That Will Be Bringing Me Incomes In Africa When I Decided To Moved Back. I Am In My 50s Now And Daughter Is About To Finished Her Registered Nursing Degree. I Will Not Moved Back To Africa Until My 6 Units Apartments Building Is Completed. I Learned Alot When I Came Back To USA From My 6 Months Staying In Africa. I Am Able To Pay Off My House Here In USA With No Mortgage And No Rent And My Car Paid Off In USA. Depression In Western Countries Is Not A Joke But I Will Rather Come Back To USA To Work And Be Building In Africa. Depression In Africa Will Be Worst For Me.

Auntie Jackie don't mind about those negative comments. It takes a lot of courage for someone to do what you did, there are many brothers and sisters who are going through the same or even worse situations but they are afraid of coming back . After watching this I know they will borrow a leaf and do the same. Please don't worry we've also made our own mistakes in life, and there are many things we've done and regret but we pick ourselves up and move on, to error is human. I know and am sure you are going to be better tomorrow, God willing, east or west home is the best. Its better to be at home than living like a slave, you will one day realize that you left slavery and that's the best decision you've ever made. Those people designed their system to drain you, but not to favour you, we have lost our brothers and sisters, the bad thing is when they come here they don't tell the truth and we think they are doing well yet they are going through hard times. Your son will soon get used don't worry he will grow happy when he is seeing you around other than loosing you. Your health is more important than anything else. Stay blessed, and Lynne thank you for being there for her she also needs morrow support

To the person who said chances were wasted. I'll say to you, until when you've been to the UK, then you'd understand. Also, do not forget , you're an immigrant, you got various bills to pay, you got family and friends who you'd assist, mostly financially, then there some you considered family and close friends who would scarm you. Then, ask yourself how much is your weekly or monthly take home after tax. As it is said, experience is the best teacher. You win some situations, and you lose some situations, then you learn your lessons, and that doesn't guarantee you wouldn't make mistakes again. You also have those who's circumstances limit them doing or archiving somethings being a migrant. As earlier said, until you're on the ground before you understand the dynamics of it.

My dear you took the best decision. You can rebuild your life from the scratch and still be who you want to be. Am from Nigeria there's a saying or adage that says whenever a person wake up from sleep is is their morning in other to say there's no time you decide to achieve your goal in life that is late. Please ignore all the negativity and pursue your dreams. UK is really hard Just look your best and head on high.

It seems like the African life there in Uganda is a more natural way of life, and this is why it is healthier for people. Our Western way of life is so unnatural as we are not outdoors much, we are not connected to Nature. In Africa even the cooking is done outdoors. Being indoors all of the time leads to depression and unhealthy living. We all need to learn from this way of life, because God gave us this way of life. We can see it is difficult, but also very fulfilling. Thank you for showing us a more natural way of life. I have been sharing with people the way of life there, but some folks refuse to believe that this primitive way of life still goes on, and it is actually preferred by those who grew up this way. More power to all of you who are making it work, and getting the peacefulness that comes with it.

There is a botswanian content creater living in the US her channel is kirchbaby her village visit videos were really so good, this reminds me of her. However, when the setting changed to the urban setup they were not as entertaining. So please just keep it up, we really need this. The honesty woow! Greatly appreciated.

They call that Orutara. Aunt Jacques can even keep small bananas (kabarara) on the rutara and it will ripen very well and it's very sweet. She can also smoke meat and keep it on the rutara as well. Growing when you did something nice like collect firewood from the hills or bring firewood or after returning from the garden the parent would tell you Ekinono harutara and they would pick either a ripe banana or something else and give to you. Thank you for reviving the Rutara in the kitchen

I love this Lynn living in the UK is not easy anymore. Most of us want to come back home, but we have nowhere to start. We have been scammed back home so many times and become resentful of family members. But watching this gives us hope that there are some genuine people around, and we can perhaps think about repatriation once again.
