How is it that Christians are so heavily invested in Israel? To the point that Christians don't care that 30,000 people have been killed since Oct 7th, kids, babies, women. What would Jesus make of all this? What do the gospels teach us about violent retaliation. Christiansn turning their back on the most fundamental teachings of Christ. Why? Why is that? Seems so strange. I'm not expecting Christians to be taking sides but to voice talking points that are anti peace , one sided and in favour of violence. Can a Christian, preferably from the evangelical church give me some insight here? Thanks

There was a staff walk out/boycott/ picket of this event. This is literally the most peaceful form of activism there is. The staff didn't want to facilitate in platforming the event. That's their right. And this is just an attempt to smear those involved "they're Islamists, they're dangerous, they're all Muslims (they're not), what's the country come to?" They said the exact same things about the supermarket girls in Ireland who refused to handle south African produce in a stance against SA apartheid. Word for word.

Douglas: Please have an event in NYC !!! I had a French boyfriend in the early 2000s, who told me the Muslims caused loud commotions when teachers were talking about the Holocaust (required education). It was so bad that that the teachers couldn't talk about the most horrific event of the 20th century. This is one reason why the French outlawed the hijab, and religious symbols (jewelry- a bit extreme).This was not an issue for the Orthodox Jews since they sent their kids to religious schools. The Muslims have a history (in Middle-East too) of complaining about everything to eventually destroy your culture. It happened in Lebanon, Europe and America (to a degree). People are cowards. So, what if someone calls you racist when you are not? I rather stand for what is morally and ethically right than to be a coward. I have to admit as a Jewish woman living in NYC, I do not feel safe to wear a Star of David, so I know I must sound like a hypocrite. However, I do speak my mind clearly and firmly with historical facts.

Moderate Muslim seems to be the very definition of the word ‘oxymoron’. I used to believe they existed. I used to believe my Muslim neighbours, with whom I get along, were moderate, but, when I speak to them on issues such as gayness, though they’re not rabid homophobes, they’re fervently against it and believe it to be an ideology or a ‘lifestyle choice’ and one told me there are “no gay Muslims”. I know this is only one issue, but these almost medieval beliefs have become pervasive. The belief that sharia would be “good for The West” has become pervasive on a sinister level. I’m a liberal and many liberals have become so afraid of the ridiculous liberal construct ‘Islamophobia’, that they’re afraid to say what they see. It’s not even about how they feel, it’s what anyone can freely and regularly see with their own eyes. I’m reminded of the old adage … “When good people say nothing, bad people thrive”. It’s what’s happening now. By stealth, we’re allowing ourselves to be ruled like a theocracy. It’s very disturbing.

A simple Google yells me it was The Apollo theater. The article I found indeed claims the workers refused to work the event "even when promised thriple pay". I find that an impluasible story. The source supposedly was 1 anonymous remaining worker. The article also mentions a supposed organisation suggesting to represent a substantial amount of culture workers but the only site I see them mentioned they have just 2 followers. A larger organisation mentioned is one in which Jeremy Corbyn has been involved...'nuff said on them I'd think. Their other involvements make it abundantly clear they are a deeply anti semitic bunch It also cites the staff supposedly "isn't trained to deal with protesters". I remain with my judgement..they are cowards..either scared of protesters or scared to be deemed "politically Incorrect" @@keepingitreal618

This tactic of cancelling a venue hours before the even is not new and is global in western countries. Canadians, Lauren Southern and Stefan Molyneux, were due to present at a sell-out event in the Bruce Mason Centre in Auckland, New Zealand in 2018 when their venue was closed down.
