I Don't Let Uber Get Away With These Orders!

When it comes to Uber Eats deliveries, I get often as a Uber Eats delivery driver in Montreal the restaurant telling me "We never got the order" and it's always when Uber pays big on a order. So what do you do in that case? Do you cancel the order and go home? Do you contact Uber support and get $3? (Wooo! NOT!) no, you should do what I do and teach in this video about when restaurants don't receive the order with Uber Eats.

    I got an order over the weekend for $34 and when i got to the restaurant, I was told someone already picked it up. I called support and they offered $3 as you mentioned but because I watch your very well informed videos, i asked for a manager and i walked away with $18 in the end. Thank you Ash❤

    Thank you Kenny! It's the hat I wear a lot in the summer to prevent sunburn on my head and figured why not give it a show in my videos lol turns out I like it a lot and will use it again! Haha it's actually a mini store complex parking lot and behind me are apartment buildings and another store lol

    Hey Ash I’m curious to hear your thoughts on something: a few weeks ago I received an order for $25 to drive 20 miles (but estimated to take 40 ish minutes. It was a slow day, so I accepted. The customer was located outside of my target zone. While driving to the restaurant, I opened up the order to see what it was, and it was for a single acai bowl. Suspecting a potential tipbait, I cancelled the pickup. Probably 10-15 min later, I got a notification of an order from the same restaurant to what appeared to be the same dropoff, but this time it was listed as $8. I’m wondering why the $17 difference for what appeared to be the same order. It didn’t seem like a coincidence and I suspect it was the same order I had previously cancelled on. Would the “trip supplement” you’re referring to, account for the difference?

    So my guess would be that the order WAS properly cancelled and resubmitted by the customer. Often clients do look at their phones and they see we cancel the order. They assume it's a glitch and often they cancel and try again, if the client cancels and tries again, it goes right back to the original pay out. That's my only guess on this one because if it was a driver to cancel, Uber would have for sure boosted it. Good catch on the difference!

    Is it really that easy to get a manager or someone to your pay on that, or how people do you speak to before you get your money? I know if I told you, but even lately Uber has even refuse to give me the small $3 compensation in this case claiming I report this situation a lot even though lately it’s been far less frequent.

    I have to say yes it has always been easy for me. I never had an issue and I make sure to get the money I'm entitled to without being difficult but with making a point. I typically speak to one person (customer service) for about 5 minutes before I tell them to transfer me and then typically 5 minutes after that I have a manager and 10 minutes after that , problem solved and done

    Happened to me same thing where i had to cancel 3 deliveries because after picking the order the 3km distance changes to 25km for just $6. i have my account deactivated for fraud and customer support says we are documenting and nothing will happen and even the supervisor says review team will check our documentation and we will remove the account from deactivation. its been 3 weeks and the account is deactivated and is under review. what a shame on uber eats. do you have any idea will my account will ever be out of deactivation?

    This just happened with a shop and pay, Uber wanted to give me $4.❌️ Talked to a supervisor and they added another $10 so it was pretty much the full payout. What you said worked.🙂

    @DashWithAshinCanada It was a little different situation, the 1 item(actually 7 items, BS language Uber and Instacart use) was out of stock. Found out from the customer a previous driver had this order and unassigned it instead of calling support. That just meant more money for me.

    Hi Ash, I guess everybody now may noticed recently wiered orders like $5 for 10km alot. I used to food delivery with uber as main gig. And my acceptance rate was never high . U noticed when it dropped to 35% , then i got the worst offers ever and didnt get even one resonable offer. One day i just left working wirh accepting zero of the crap offers. Now do u think that uber is sending these shitty offers to low acceotance rate drivers? Or maybe the policy has just changed to make every driver low offers fir their benefit? I lije to know ur idea

    Hey Sara! Honestly, I have about a 8% acceptance rate and I still get good orders, i believe it's just about the market and how things can change based on promos and such. With Uber I don't think it matters as much.

    This also would apply to when a driver steals the order too, restaurant will say that you're the 5th driver coming in for that order. Nice tip! Nice hat too!
