The only bad thing about this rendition of Caravan from Whiplash is that, even after almost 6 years since it's been out, NO ONE has attempted to transcribe Andrew's solo at the end. I'm legit curious as to how it's done, since I want to learn more drumset.

@SeanSMST
8 ай бұрын
I know this is 3 yrs old, but even still I think guitar hero/rock band can actually help a musician in some ways. For instance, I'm a beginner bassist and playing fuck ton of gh helped me with loosening out my fret fingers, and speed up my plucking fingers. It definitely helped get through that early slog. I had the bass for like a year, year and a half before I took it seriously, probably because of that early slog and my fingers feeling wack. With drumming, I bet starting with gh/rb helps with speed and limb independence. But if you're an existing player trying out gh, it's quite hard to do. Drumming perfectly to a recording isn't easy at all, and the improv nature of drumming gives each drummer their own feel. So if you learn the instrument first then try play, it's not worthwhile at all imo.
@angelnobody7137
6 ай бұрын
It helps yeah but it is better to actual learn the actual instrument properly and study from books or teachers rather than a videogame made for fun not to teach anything than rhythm maybe and interpretation
@SeanSMST
5 ай бұрын
@angelnobody7137 Well what I meant is to not learn from the games, just loosen up your fingers and get that coordination improved. It helps to get a headstart on the physical side before theory and practice, so your learning isn't held back by fingers hurting too much or smth. To actually start learning, rocksmith 2014 is good in areas. With rocksmith and using rocksmith2tab to get the games tabs, its a good combo to have fun learning the jist of a song, then going to tabs (musescore) to really learn it and practice properly. At least for me. Rocksmith tabs are much more accurate than random tabs would be. All of this is just solo learning. As a hobbyist bassist in uni, solo learning via rocksmith, musescore and then yt is how I'm trying to improve. Absolutely real local teachers with books and other resources are gonna be the best way to learn.
Seeing that star turn 5 was just almost as powerful as fletcher giving Andrew his approval at the very end.
As someone who used to be able to play expert drums on Rock Band I can assure you this is WAY harder than it looks.

Yo dude! You might already know this, but look up the "Paradiddle Diddle" drum rudiment. It's widely used in jazz drumming and it's exactly the type of thing you could use to make that crazy stuff at the end more manageable 👍

This isn’t accurate, his hands aren’t bleeding. Lmao jk your amazing man 👏👏
The chart seems difficult and well made but is still simplified compared too the actual song. Great job on FC of this chart! Very impressive 👍👏🏼! I'm going to guess, just by your technique and other things, that you are not very experienced behind a real kit. I dont mean that in a bad way at all! It is actually really interesting! I would like to see you play that electronic kit you are using without the game. You have insane timing/rhythm that's for sure! Technique and comfortably would come superrrr quick! Being a trained musician of many instruments, mainly drums, I am a huge fan of rhythm games. I wish I had a electronic kit so I could play clone hero. Keep up the great work! 5🌟's! 😁

Congratulations on the 1 million subs dude! You came all long way and you finally did! Good job dude you earned it!
This guy appears randomly in my reccmmendations and I just see him for laughs Man, congrats for the million!
During the solo you kind of need a1 stick control in your left hand to play the off time snare ghost notes with the double time swing (I think the blue notes they're meant to be played on one hand)it's a really chop forward solo also you have better control in the left hand and wont drop as many notes if you keep your fingers on the stick and squeeze towards the top almost like a windex bottle. Just some tips if you decide to fc it. Good job though
Congrats on 1mil dude!!!!!

Congrats on 1Mil my man!
For the swing parts on the ride cymbal (the three notes in a row thing) you wanna learn to loosen up your hand while holding your stick to hit that because if your hand is holding it tightly your hand gets tired easier or can cramp if you are tightly holding it doing swing for a while when it's fast. I hope someone would explain this better that is a drummer and have him see it because I suck at explaining things.
Glad to see someone exercise during the quarantine.
Jazz drumming is THE hardest style of drumming I have no doubt, its fun af to play with the syncopation and the whole big band ensemble with a bouncy driving drum groove is perfection.
yooo this is rad af! do you play drums too? Ur wrist technique is rad af and most of the stuff in this chart is NOT easy to play from a technical standpoint ahahahaha. Caravan is no joke. Just the intro is hard af to get the coordination for, so if you didn't play real drums before guitar hero then props to you, Acai.

Cool video man. You're pretty good at this stuff. My only complaint is that it's not quite my tempo.

Grats on the milli!
As a drumline drummer, I would recommend doing a double stroke roll for the really fast notes so your not working your arms out too much.
Congrats on 1 mill!

Congratulations on 1 Million subs brown man
Acai looks like the type of guy who would jam out to jazz music with you 24/7 on clone hero
Terrence would definitely give you the look that he gave Andrew at the end after watching this, great stuff
Acai. Here are some tips brother. 1: You can use heel up for the bass drum. Its much faster and you can do the part where you use double bass with just one foot. 2: Try using fingers (double strokes) 3: Play loosened. Dont hold your sticks so hard. Hold them with your pointer and thumb. I know you arent really serious about drumming but you can practice and maybe cover Fleshgod Apocalypse The Violation next :D
Were you rushing or dragging?
The download provided didn't have drums in it. I'm pretty new to getting this set up and im having a lot of trouble finding songs for drums. Can you explain how to get the drums for this working or PM me on where I can locate other songs? Thanks in advance!
Congrats on one mil
You are a legend for this
wait, everyone's talking about this 5 star run and I nearly shat myself watching this too. but even better, 1 mil subs holy shit my mans has finally done it
This drum fill is so much easier in real drums than on Clone hero. :D
This was the same way when I tried to get 5 stars on Jordan, Six, Visions, and Fight Fire With Fire. Took me many tries to do all those 5-star runs before. There is no way that I’m beating that.
Does the traditional gripping method help with with piece in general? I’m just curious I don’t know anything about drums other than they’re awesome and there are more ways to hold drum sticks
Congrats!
I wanna see acai do this on an actual drum kit but still reading the CH chart
Heeey I got a question, so from the spreadsheet you put in the descrption I downloaded the GH:WOR songs to play them on the drums but there seems to be no Expert+ difficulty to play the double bass pedal sections so im forced to play the expert difficulty on CH. Is there a way to activate Expert+ on CH or am I forced to look up for "2x Bass pedal" versions of the charts :( ?
This reminds me of that one episode of regular show where benson had to do the ultimate drum set
Olivia is just vibing in the back
There needs to be a video of this chart with just the e-kit and no music
Took me 4 and a half minutes to realize theres someone sleeping behind him.
