It really was perfect

So I always knew that BREs had hidden notes, but I never knew they were just so the animation of the band members would look like they were playing them. Nor did I know Bodhisattva had one that's INSANE on Clone Hero (and probably impossible on a Rock Band engine)

Probably one of the few rare instances where a chart is more difficult on Clone Hero than Rock Band.

I've always thought that people actually charted the BREs when they got ported over to CH, I never knew they were actually officially charted but flagged over

This always fascinated me in Rock Band Blitz since that was the first time I saw BREs get turned into real notes. Always wondered how that game knew to do that, but it makes perfect sense to me now.

So the actual reason why RB charts have hidden notes in the BRE is for the guitarists and bassists to animate properly. Both the onstage guitarists and bassists strum whenever a note passes by in the chart, so the BRE has hidden notes so the guitarist's hand is still playing and isn't static. This is also why drums typically doesn't have these notes, as drums are animated manually via MIDI notes.

When I first played RB and got the big rock endings, I always thought there would be a specific pattern they hid in there. If you managed to get it you’d get like a million points or something. Cool to know that I was like, 1/3rd right haha

I always loved playing this song on Clone Hero (usually the GH version) but the Rock Band version has this insane ending and it’s great to see that Acai is once again, the man.

Rock Band 2 went ham with some of the charting it did expect players to play. Guitar FX pedal in Lazy Eye translates to some of the fastest strumming in the game.
