Once you have 80+ trust (as far as i know) with an ally, they won't declare you as a rival if you're eligible to be their rival while you have an alliance with them. They may still want your land and turn hostile from that though

Thr bookkeeping privilege actually only cares about loyalty so if your merchants are at 100 loyalty but zero influence its still gives its full effect (which is a broken amount of reduce inflation cost and interest reduction.)

Nothing hurt worse than hearing you spent the entire game without the merchant bookkeeping privilege, that privilege is a goddamn lifesaver

Returning again to say I love the achievement run and would love to see more achievement runs being done. And I don't know about anyone else in the audience, but I personally love to see Laith overcoming the pain and struggle in the videos to build some powerhouse nation. Seeing a scuffed, horrible, restart worthy game being attempted is very reminiscent of my own EU4 games and its great knowing not everyone playing this game is some pro-mlg meta gamer and that there are in fact many idiots playing. So thank you Laith for being the representation for this game I can aspire to.

eu4 youtube has always been crazy runs and flexing and what have you. Its a downright breath of fresh air to see a relatable run

Two things, spy network on someone with tech to catch up. Also you can use favors to get cores back from Otto if he were to get ownership of some Syrian cores.

If you use the Spy Technology mechanic by having a high spy network in a country with higher tech, you can get a massive discount to your tech costs so you can catch up.
