I Captured Fish Behavior NEVER SEEN BEFORE! After Putting My Camera in The Canal!

Ойын-сауық

Well it's time for another underwater fishing session. This time we're on the canal and aiming to get some takes in front of the camera. The target species is tench, but on the canal you just never know what's going to happen! It was only after removing my camera from the water that I realized I'd captured some never seen before fish behavior.

I would have to disagree. I just can't understand why he uses ridiculous 3lb line and loses so many fish. Even 70lb braid would not put off those tench. I'd be more inclined to pre-bait in much larger amounts to induce the larger specimens to move in and feed very confidently.

Wonderful footage: I love tench. They are so beautiful and very shy. I really do not like carps. Even in my little pond the golden tench I have for years and feed regularly are hard to watch as they escape in under the vegetation when something is scaring them. I never ate a tench despite the fact that I tried to cook nearly every species of fish I caught at least once to try how they taste. I was amazed more than once that quite big pikes are sometimes eating tiny worms. A friend caught a big one on a hook size 12 with a tiny worm on it: He was actually trying to catch bait. The hooked pike raced across the big pond straight into the net! The net got completely destroyed but we caught the fish. This season tenches get ready to have their mating dances in flooded grass. They are really fat now. During their mating after sunset you can sometimes touch them with bare hands. That is the moment they loose all their shyness. It is wonderful to watch. They got so rare where I live. It is a pity. When I was younger we often went to rescue tenches and many other kind of fish that got trapped in side pools after they were drying out in autumn and early winter. Sometimes I hammered tenches out of the ice. There was no water left in the ponds, but when you massaged them they got back alive.

After seeing Korda's underwater videos I got really hooked on underwater videos to better understand the behaviour of different species and ages of fish. Amazing insight as an amateur angler. Now I can help my beginner buddy catch some picky-eaters fish at our lake since he's been struggling on the float. I will definitely tell him to mount his lead a bit further up and tie a push-stop/hair rig for corn. I hope he can finally land some more fish consistently aside from the odd prussian carp orgy days we sometimes get.

Appreciate your vid and thanks from Korea. I was intrigued to see that you also use a float to fish a carp; we rig it such that once carp takes the bait, the float slowly rises above the water. At night time, we attach a small light at the tip of the float and when the light rises majestically above the water, 30cm to 1 meter plus depending on the length of the float, the sight is breathtaking. You than have a decision to make whether the catch the carp or enjoy the risen float as long as possible until the fish spits out the hook. The purpose of the rig is not to catch as many carp as possible, but to enjoy the float rise with a satisfaction that you have rigged the float with perfection. The trick is to use as thin line as possible, a light hook, small light baits, perfect balance between the sink and the float and patience!

This is one of the best KZread recommendations I've ever had. Great videos, mate! You've got a new sub from the Netherlands. Keep up the good work!

Good to watch...i guessed pike hits before i started watching the video....pike love a big wriggly worm....so many times people course fishing with them are getting hits off pike - its not even slightly rare. If they're about and your're fishing worms you can expect 'em!

Amazing how when a pike is obviously on the feed the roach don't seem bothered. Is it they know it only wants the worms, or because there are so many of them that the odds of being attacked are relevantly low? Brilliant footage as usual.
