If you're going to use it a lot, make sacrificial bottom plates. All movement over rock/sand/dirt is basically grinding your bottom. Some holes and carriage bolts, when the carriage bolts fall thru, time to change :)

Poor is what I am. I had to resort to picking up a old box spring that blowed off some poor bastards truck during the move, tearing off all the quilt tying a rope to it. Now for the kicker borrowing a buddy's riding mower to drag it with and adjusting the weight with a old dead tree cut to length with a handsaw. Get'er done 🤣

Being poor is all about planning man. I knew I was going to be a poor my whole life, so when I planned to run a tractor (pawn shop riding mower for $300) I knew I’d need weight for my attachments. (Pallets and old tires from the highway). So I had a whole pile of kids to use as weight for my implements. The kids think we are out having fun, but we’re really getting some work done.

Quick question on the angle iron in the middle is it a little bit lower than the frame? Sorry if that sounds like a crazy question I’ve never seen one pop close, the reason why am asking. And let me say great job on the fabrication- i’m in the same boat you are - somethings are just Add a reach financially at the time you need it well anyway thanks hopefully I’ll hear back from you

Thanks for your question! No the angle is the exact depth of the frame along with the angle iron that cutting edge is mounted too, then there is a half inch cutting edge bolted to that so the frame is basically a 1/2” higher than the cutting edge, so in conclusion the cutting edge does the work and the frame and angle distributes the material being dragged to create a level grade. All in all total investment making it with steel acquired over years and buyin 4 pieces about $450. Hope this is helpful!!! Thank you

Id love to see it work. Looks like a good design. I'm looking to make one myself but thinking of putting the extruded on top with some angle at 45 degrees at the back to carry rocks and push them off the side. Front blade will have rippers attached to 4" angle angled to push big rocks on top of the extruded. If that makes sense. Lol. Let the dirt fall through the extruded and be leveled out by angle irons. Maybe put a chain link fence drag behind. Just thinking lol
