I will add; I get it. I’m using the burpee training to relearn how to suffer and push through. I am making some physical gains because I’m starting so far behind but I can see it’s really opening the door for a lifestyle change. I used to get up 2 hours early so I could drink coffee and Eff about on my phone. Now my wife and I do follow along burpee workouts in the mornings together and I cap it off with a cold shower. We’ll never be able to thank you enough. You’re just a guy in Scotland but you’ve reached more folks than you know

Truth bombs💣 💥!! Just do something and you’ll figure it out👌. So true! And I also liked when you said high rep callisthenics helped you develop the mindset to grind! Man it totally does.

As someone who also has problems starting things: Starting strength 5x5 is probably your best bet, just hit 5 burpees 5 times regardless of your time frame. Can't do it yet? Good, work that until you can. You can do it easy? Good, do it faster or add more burpees, see which one feels better, do more of that. There's no excuse, they're just burpees.

"Slave to sugar" - yip, the curse of the West of Scotland 🤷‍♂️ I'm scared to try paleo/carnivore though - I used it 8 years ago and had amazing results - six pack, high energy with little training....but it triggered an autoimmune response after 4 months where i got rheumatoid symptoms in my hands, hips and feet. I think it was the nuts/peanuts as peanut butter triggers it quickly now. Eggs...i can eat them without issue so my plan for the start of 2024 is to give it a whirl and see if i can shed thise last few blobs of fat (down to about 14% now). Great video - AND inspiring 👍 Have a great Christmas and all the best for 2024 🍻

Me too. My teeth are testament to it too 😁 Highland Toffee and Tablet were my daily "play piece" and I can still rattle a six pack of Mr Kipling's with one cup of coffee. The hardest part of paleo was the first 2 weeks - then I noticed differences and my energy levels ramped up. No lie - I've been super fit but never had a six pack. On paleo it was easy and I was doing less exercise 🤷‍♂️ At my worst I was training twice a day and eating a bunch of bananas,/porridge etc etc. Like a hamster in al 🛞 ,🤣

Well said as always Lee. Indeed, we all figure it out! Just do the reps and the rest works itself out. Though I’ll say the framework that helped me at the beginning was just striving for 100 unbroken. The body figures out how many sets and reps to work with and with consistency, it just knows when it’s ready to hit the 100. And by then you’re pretty familiar with burpees and everything unlocks itself for future goals and workouts.
