"I came to Rome when it was a city of marble and left it a city of ruin" - Probably Alaric, before pillaging it.

This is Sparta! Never retreat never surender! This is the Spartan law! We do not like the people who enslaved us, Who took away our way of life, our beliefs, our freedom, our lands! The people who did those to us are living the same tragedy that we've been trough! That's why God's men are playing: even Sunday! No retreat never surender! This is us! I thought Alaric told em to keep the city in tact so.. it’s most likely not him. There was another Ostrogoth king though that burnt Rome to the ground tho.

It was not Alaric who destroyed the Rome, but rather Vandals and then Ricimer. The Odoacer ended their work, and after that Rome became history.

"i found rome a city of stone and left it a city of marble"- ceaser Augustis.
Bricks...it was a city of bricks. He left it a city of marble.
"I crossed the Rubicon, against the wishes of closest allies, against the memory of my patron and mentor, casting aside the laws, traditions and the very foundations of Roman Republic...and to my surprise the men of my Legion cheered. Their voices, screams and hollers echoed far and deep, their thousands of feet battering the ground as they crossed the road toward Rome...in my name. I will burn this accursed city to the ground and from its ashes...I will forge a new destiny." ~ Lucius Valerius Corvus, Legatus of Legio Victrix and Africanum, refusing to disband his legion after being pissed off by the constant betrayal by his rivals in Rome.
I love how I predicted the song before clicking on 💅 it goes so well with Rome edits

BTW the Greco part of the Greco-Roman influence you only know of because of Muslims. We preserved their works when you guys had purged them from Europe. The ancient Greek works that exist in English are translated from Arabic. And let's not get into the atrocities committed by ancient Greeks and Romans, along with the Western world at large, especially today. We won't get into the World Wars you guys started, nor that since the year 0 you guys have been responsible for the most unalivings compared to any other major groups, including Muslims. Did you Christians are the biggest perpetrators, followed by atheists? Muslims are ranked 5th out of 6 possible positions.
