this car had a seized engine, at first i thought that i will be forced to replace the engine or sell it for very cheap as is. but my curiosity paid off, i could not just give up and put it back together after i found out that the engine was blocked, i kept going and digging till i was able to find out what was exactely was the problem, i was supper happy and went for the fix. it cost me 100 bucks and my labor, usually i dont charge myself, i should hh

I have a similar problem with my car but all my gears are moving installed. I gave up with fixing it because I thought it would need a replacement engine. The car broke down at a bad time last year so It’s been parked at my job since. After the money I spent on just about everything above the block and was planning on pistons replacement. This video made me realize that my water pump belt did snap and I replaced it along with the water pump. Because I was being cheap, I chose to perform the work myself and didn’t have enough time to double check my work because I had to use the car getting to work. But that water pump shaft and bolt has to be the failure point with my car and now I can’t stop thinking about it. Thank you

clever and reasoned thinking gets deservingly rewarded... had similar starter error-codes on our much loved 2009 Avant (82K miles) that was towed to the nearby Audi dealer, claiming (without even scoping) that the engine was seized (stranded in the middle of nowhere)...The estimate was absurd and I was unable to do my own troubleshooting.or take it back home at the time. Hope the A-car found a smart and dedicated DIY’er like you (!)

@@strictlyaudis7012 This video was at the top of my feed so you must be doing something right. The likes will come. My suggestion is to cut down the narration. This is a >14 minute video that could have told the same message in under 10. You said "to make a long story short" twice in the video so you must have noticed you were rambling a bit. Also, use better lighting. At one point you turned on your iphone flashlight and it really brightened the picture - that's the way the whole video should have looked.

I bought it from a junkyard, I bought both of them go $100 , you may wanna get the harmonic balancer out just to inspect it and inspect the plastic inside , most likely you’ll be happy you do. They can both go bad or either one . Just replace the bad one and inspect the other one .

Yes it’s possible but if that happened it means that you’re oil system wasn’t good at first place such as ( oil pressure light coming on and off ) that’s a sign your engine oil isn’t circulating correctly due to too much sledge and dirty oil , there could be so many problems, you won’t know till you start digging

You should try to turn your engine by hand from the crank Polly , if your engine still turns then it’s not seized. If the starter got burned, that means you have a short somewhere and or some loose cables that caused the fire

@@strictlyaudis7012 I couldn't get it to turn by hand unfortunately. I'm hoping the starter somehow jammed the flyweel so the crank can't be turned..Not sure if that works. The starters contacts are a weak point. The wire from the solenoid to the starter motor overloads and it melts/burns.
