You are totally not crazy to put in concealer under foundation. That was actually how I was originally taught in cosmetology school. The idea was to use spot conceal anything a foundation wouldn't take care of so you could use a foundation that wasn't so full coverage and would look more natural on the skin but still have the extra coverage only where you needed.

Nowadays the advice is the other way around because you can see how much the foundation covered and add less unnecessary concealer, and blending the foundation can move your carefully placed spot concealer. Probably not a huge deal, though. I think Chinese beauty gurus do bigger areas like under-eye concealer and lighter concealer to highlight first, then foundation and spot conceal last. Man, makeup is a science, I just slap on some tinted serum for base makeup lmao

Focallure is chinese from Aliexpress suppliers, a.k.a. Wish’s mom it’s a really great brand with awesome products, but is cheap so don’t buy it for higher prices

Late reply, the original has a few more shades, but since it's stage makeup made in the Czech Republic for Czech actors, and is sold in Czech stores mostly, there is really no need for more shades from the company's POV since this country is pretty uniformly white.

I must say this because this was going around, and this is important, at 11:26 THE FOUNDATION THAT SHE FOUND IN THIS VIDEO IS A FAKE. The real Dermacol is indeed quite full coverage, the website she chose is manufacturing fake ones. You can tell by the way it also has an off-center printing on the container as well as how it almost instantly drooped out. The legitimate formula does not do this.

Jenna Marbles used to be the same way (put more thought into each video,) but now unfortunately it seems like she puts everything together lazily in 10 minutes. The exact same thing happened to me aswell. I do it intentionally because I need something I can sleep to and since her voice is really relaxing I just open a 30 minute video of hers and drift off to sleep/nap. Been doing it with rick and morty before I knew her 😭

You should try the real Dermacol foundation one day (buy from their official website - don’t trust anywhere else lol). It’s really nice and full coverage! I use it to add coverage to my more natural foundations. Great video! Always original content!

Let’s start by saying the highlights a crappy dupe of a cover fx drops

I think all the products you didn't like were either fake or bad copies of some other product. The Dermacol foundation was def fake, the eyeliner looks like an exact copy of a Tony Moly eyeliner and the highlighter looks like a copy of Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops (they even used same shade names like Celestial). And apparently the lipstick photos were Colourpop's... All in all, don't buy makeup from Facebook. :'D

I gotta agree with the others. Your Dermacol might be fake. First clue is that the box smells. That's a huge wtf. The normal product from the Czech Republic wouldn't smell. That flower pattern on the box is supposed to be really pale. There's other things about the packaging you can check. I mix mine with lighter foundations usually. There's no way I could dot on as much as you did and get away with it. It would look like a mask. You need so little.

I don't get what you're trying to say. There's no concealer. What's on the video is Dermacol foundation. But they did take the video from some lifestyle site called Insider. The way you phrased it I thought you were saying it's a brand called Insider.

I bought the thrive causemetics eyeliner, advertised as having “micro pigments” that would keep it on your waterline and not smudge. Well it was bullshit. Smeared off my waterline in about 10 minutes, made a mess of my eye makeup, and cost like almost 30$! That’s when i stopped buying crap from Facebook. That mascara looks on point though. Might grab some.

No way are people actually using dermacol on the daily! The reason that stuff is so full coverage is because it’s meant for actors to use for a couple days at a time. It’s so bad for your skin to use it regularly!

The foundation you bought is fake. You didn't buy from the original seller. The original is such full coverage and doesn't shine like that. The Dermacol might not be a regular foundation, but it definitely works as a cover-up. We previously had a "no visible tattoos" policy at my job, and in the summer months I sometimes used it to cover up a tattoo so I didn't have to cover it with clothes when it was really hot out.

I always jam out when I hear that intro.

The girls in the highlighter videos were using iconic London highlighter. That’s frustrating because not only did that company steal their content but also lied about the product in it.

Beauty and the Blog yep, dermacol from aliexpress sold like a real one, that’s why I never buy from online stores they are basically selling you super cheap stuff for a lot more than their real cost, even the pants she bought a few videos ago with a star on the butt, it’s like crazy cheap in aliexpress and it’s the same one! She’s buying stuff from the same mother store but from different suppliers in the US

Dermacol is only 10 bucks on amazon. I use it as concealer because it covers my really dark circles. All this hatred towards it is because people don't know how to use it properly. It's not a normal foundation you can't treat it as such and when you do of course you'll hate it but that's an error on you not the product.

no one here is hating on dermacol. they're pointing out that the stuff she used was fake and not real dermacol. just look at the amount of product she was using. i don't even know what would happen if you would use that much real dermacol on your face.

The foundation literally used dermacols foundation for the picture, they didn’t even try to hide that they were copying it lmao. Charlotte Tillbury is a big (and expensive) brand though, we used them a lot when I went to makeup school. They’re really good for professional makeup

Some video ideas! -I bought the first 5 things the TV commercials recommend (you could do different channels like animal planet - love crusty, food network, etc) -I dressed according to a dress code for a week, do it with tyler and compare boys and girls dress codes!! :) - I wear “instagram” eyeshadow for a week. we know you have the eyeshadows for this one haha. maybe follow a tutorial on instagram for the last one? -I try doing makeup with just paint brushes those are just some ideas i’d like to see even though nobody asked lol. hope you see them xx

Yea, it’s a rip off of the cover fx custom enhancer drops, they even copied their shade names. The real one is the one they used in their clips, it is pricier though

those sample pictures of the lipsticks from focallure were straight up stolen from colourpop’s website...really questioning the authenticity of the brand here lol. same for the foundation, seemed like they were tricking people into thinking they were buying actual dermacol when it’s really just a knockoff edit: the girls in the ad for the highlighter were using a different product, too. how is marketing like this legal???

If you ever see an ad but don't want to lose it, you can click on the 2 dots and theres an option to 'save link' or 'save ad' and the post will be saved in a tab you can come back to later, and see all your saved posts. You can do this with literally any post! So next time you can just save it and then film when you get a chance!

Dermacol makeup is like borderline paint, it’s thick as heck and you only need a tiny bit. I like the eyeshadow and lipstick colors best. Love your videos so much 💜

I use dermacol as a concealer because you only need a little bit and it's very high coverage so it's perfect to cover my night time anxiety lol. I think it gets a bad rap because people don't know how to use it properly. It's very delicate and typically people jump in head first and use it like any other foundation and you just can't.

14:28 so basically what most companies do is that they would use videos of other girls trying a product that is actually really pigmented with out showing the actual name of it, for example the one of the girls was Isabelle Bedoya and she was reviewing the cover FX one and Tati Westbrooks has also talked and made a video about how the used her image of her trying a completely different product and made like look like it was actually wearing the color it was advertising 😂 I hope I can explain myself 😂

Charlotte Tilburry is a luxury British brand, thats why it was so expensive

hey safiya i just have to say you have the most perfect voice. i have a hard time understanding what people are saying a lot of the time and i have to use subtitles all the time and the youtube subtitles are typically auto generated and they just confuse me more but with your videos i don’t need them because you enunciate so well. it makes your videos so enjoyable because i understand everything your saying! thank you for having such good enunciation
