Been one of my favourite fighters since before he became better known, the Joe Smith fight was where people started taking note. The distance control and ring generalship Bivol has is amongst the best of all current world champs. Never see him clinch or spoil either, economical fighter. All the best Champ 🥊

Yup, started watching him after the Joe fight. Like how he box and watch some of his most recent fights. From there I started watching a video of his technique and also remember watching a video of a man breaking down how the champions at 175 could give Canelo problems. I remember thinking I feel like if Bivol ever fought with Canelo he could out box him, he’s like a upgraded Triple G. Better foot work, faster, bigger and better defense. year later I remember Canelo vs Bivol was officially announced and telling my family, friends and coworkers that Bivol actually has a chance to win but they just laughed at me and argued with me. I was 17 when the fight happened so I couldn’t gamble on apps but I bet my almost 900 dollars check with one of my cousins who was rooting for Canelo. Easiest money I ever made.

If he beats Beterbiev, he will be on boxing Olimpus. Frankly speaking, Bivol + Beterbiev have more skill combined than GGG + Canelo in my opinion. Fight of the decade if it happens.

THERE'S WEIGHT CLASSES FOR A REASON. Canelo is the only fighter that fights four times a year and never leaves the gym and switches weight back from 168 to 175 and then back down and then back and forth so if you really think your body will be able to perform properly after doing all that to yourself then you have alot to learn about making weight does to you. Canelos already extremely bloated in the 2nd Rd with bivol. No way canelo was himself in that fight.

@@ShomshirAhmedso what he has two losses. He’s still one of the greatest to ever do it. Bivol did great and beat him but to not put respect on Canelo is insane to me. Ali had more losses than that. Julio Caesar Chavez lost before as well. So had Tyson. What makes a champion a champion is the will to come back and keep fighting at the highest level. Mayweather and this new generation of boxers I swear. People use to want to fight anyone to prove they were the best of the best.

Didn't get rewarded? He immediately shot up the p4p rankings and was named fighter of the year largely off that win. Hearn shut him down? Hearn is the one who landed him the Canelo fight and put him in another high profile fight with Zurdo. Bivol is the one who killed his own momentum by pulling out of talks with Beterbiev earlier in the year (while legit trying to fight Munguia instead) which Beterbiev put him on blast for and rejecting the Canelo 175 rematch. Gvozdyk has also been calling him out but Bivol just ignores him. All that just to sit out inactive for a year and turn up fighting Yarde's leftovers.

It’s funny how all the people who’d say “ innocent until proven guilty” are trying to call Bivol a women beater with zero evidence ( his wife posted a small scar that looked like an acne scar and took it down not long after) and he received no criminal proceedings. I mean, the only thing to be scared of is getting robbed. Bivol won that fight 10 rounds to 2, but the scorecards showed 115-113. He won by a landslide and almost got his belt stolen from him. Canelo should accept the fight at 168 for his belts but nope... Bivol will take those from him. Canelo needs to wait until Bivol and Beterbiev move up and then he can try something at 175. He needs to take care of his first, and thats Benavidez. Bivol is moving towards a better fighter and fight in Beterbiev. @@_aarondiazzzz

One of my favourite boxer’s I would say the best technical boxer out there 👌 that’s why he beat Canelo just completed outboxed him. He’s a perfect boxer really crafted the art of boxing. Can’t see anyone beating him tbh see him fight Lyndon Saturday. Just shows how perfect he is at fighting. Hopefully we get the Beterbiev fight one day think it will be excellent fight. Bivol will win though I reckon he will move in and out too quick and outbox Beterbiev.

Also he's top 5 pfp fighter in the rankings while Beterbiev is 8 I believe. Dimitri is also more skilled in situations where Artur would simply throw wildly which don't work on Bivol.

And while Canelo and his team were playing it up for the cameras and saying they’re trying to make the rematch, behind the scenes, they never even so much as made contact with Bivol. Not once. No talks were initiated, no offers were ever made to Bivol. They pretended he didn’t exists and just continued to lie in front of the journalists. If Canelo wanted to get Bivol in the ring, he would have gotten him in the ring. At any weight he wanted. But losing to him for the second time would do untold damage to his brand. So they put Bivol in the rear view mirror and never looked back.

That's as dumb as demanding Canelo go down in weight and fight Terence Crawford. Bivol started his career 23 at 179lb, the equivalent would be to ask Canelo to go down one weight below the weight he was at 23. On top of that there was talk of Canelo going to heavy weight to fight. He couldn't even do light heavyweight. Let him stay at 165lb

He struggled and it was embarrassing in hindsight. Canelo was a blown up, gassed, injured welterweight. Bivol is a natural light heavyweight. Not only did Bivol not KO Canelo, he even lost 4 rounds 😂 Kinda sad

It's a shame fights more champs than anyone and stays active whereas Bivol rejected the rematch and Beterbiev unification talks just to sit out inactive and turn up fighting a domestic fighter? Bivol wasn't making big moves prior to landing the Canelo fight and seems even less motivated after getting a taste of a big payday. Fighters want to get paid like Canelo and want his accolades yet refuse to put in the same work or take the same risks to be in his shoes.
