I must have watched this fight on playback about 15 times and Golovkin definitely landed the highest volume of scoring punches. No fair-minded boxing enthusiast could possibly have seen any other result than a win for Golovkin. There is absolutely no doubt that GGG was robbed in this fight.

Well this was a sanctioned fight. Jake Paul and floyd fight was an exhibition. If any of y’all including me could fight a KZreadr and be guaranteed 30 mil y’all would do it to. He’s retired.

When I watched this fight I thought GGG edged it by a round or two. If Canelo took it by a round it'd be a bit shocking but somewhat justifiable. The judge who scored it 10 rounds to 2 in favour of Canelo should be banned from judging a boxing match ever again.

This was corruption in broad daylight. Golovkin won 7 rounds clearly there, with 3 rounds that were even, and 2 rounds for Canelo. No one really buys that Canelo 'drew' this fight. He should be ashamed.

LiveLove Life Canelo won the second fight true but he never won the first and it was never a draw ggg forced the fight landed it’s a shame

Who else had it 115-113 (7-5) for GGG? Canelo definitely took the first two rounds, but after that Golovkin kept smothering him, increasing his work rate and pushing him against the ropes each round, undoubtedly dominating rounds 3-9. Rounds 10, 11 & 12 go to Canelo, round 11 could've gone either way but I feel Canelo landed the bigger shots and had superior work rate in the final rounds, Golovkin definitely won this fight, what a shame.

That's all time classic example for a stolen victory of GGG. Do me a favour and watch the fight in slow motion (x0.25) and see how many so-called body shots of Saul did land in GGG's ellbows.

I've watched this fight quite a few times and the closest I can get it is 7-5 GGG. First time watching I had 9-3 GGG. 118-110 is criminal!!

3rd time watching the fight with extensive frame by frame shots of punches; I had it 7-5 GGG or 6-6. I can definitely see a justifiable draw here, but GGG was the more dominant fighter and the power jab the most dominant punch.

12:06 I didn’t notice it at first but man are both corners observant! Eddy points out that Canelo can catch GGG by stepping back and throwing an uppercut whenever he (GGG) throws his two left jabs followed by a right; Abel also sees that and tells GGG that canelo might throw an uppercut so he has to throw a left hook and aim it at the left side of the chest (it could catch canelos chin if it lands). Amazing work by both trainers!!!

Mid 2023 and this is still one of my favorite fights!

Rewatched it here in 2024. Man! What a Fight! Mad respect for GGG, true warriors and pure masterpiece from both side. I am just Thankful that I can receive those inspiration that can't be put into words from other tremendous human beings like these two. Thank you Champs!

Gennady's Jab was the reason he won this fight. From Round 1 to Round 12. He threw a jab that constantly snapped Canelo's head back. I truly don't understand how this fight wasn't a win for GGG.

I don't know where you get that from. With passing of time and advancement in science of physical practice in every sport to achieve outstanding results, it becomes more and more difficult, so it seems unreasonable your argument. Fifteen rounds would dilute the quality of the whole thing and fighters can also suffer more than they should. There's a reason why it is designed to twelve by much smarter people than you and I.

The reason why there’s no 15 round fights now is because more people where dying after the 12th round. So it was until the early 80’s where they changed it.

I have so much respect for how hard GGG pushes himself each and every round. He goes to the corner knackered and comes out to put in an equally hard round straight afterwards. Incredible recovery from 100% output repeatedly

Artur is unknown for world boxing beforeGvozdyx fight and watching him is thrilling and unpredictable. I believe Saul won 3G fair and square in their 2 nd fight,but not the first. Political wise Artur has no negotiations power over the boxing organization or promotion compared to Saul team or even Usyx team. Thats y it needs facts check from what Saul Alvarez team saying. Just my opinion.

This was the 7th time I've watched this fight and there's no question that GGG won..... No question whatsoever... And nothing to do with 'hating' Canelo... just the fact.

@@chikarayleigh4534 corruption, you should always think about it this way: Canelo is a bigger star than ggg which means the bets are mostly on canelo. Canelo losing would be very bad for them because there was alot of money on him which is why this is a easy rig. Everyone that has a brain and isnt biased knows that the first one was a dub for ggg and the 2nd one was a draw.

14:18 I'm sure this happens multiple times through the fight, but these two are so in sync with their movements, its like a mirror. Boxing at the highest level on display!

Canelo is usually the aggressor.Not to many men can stand toe to toe with him.Triple g did however and had him backed up most all fight long. triple g had this one most all the way.

I was rooting for Canelo, but GGG clearly won this match. The 118-110 score for Canelo was ridiculous! Even if this fight were were ruled a draw, GGG would still have been robbed blind!

The corner work from both those soon to be hall of famers is spectacular, Reynoso telling canelo to be-careful with the double jab right hook & look to counter with an upper, Sanchez telling Ggg to watch for that exact counter.. 🧠 📚🔥

that 118-110 is so ridiculous, we all seen that triple G pushing canelo on to his limits and landing cleaner shots. ALthough Canelo land clean shots too but for me it wasn't enough.

Even though i thought there second fight was the best of the trilogy this was still a great fight and lived up to expectations because it was such a high level fight and i had golovkin winning 7-5 and still till this day i dont know how that 118-110 card was ever handed in.. because that was such a let down to such a brilliant fight

This is one of the best boxing matches ever recorded, a true chess match. Beautiful stuff. Both fighters incredibly skilled.

100%, I feel people focus more on whether GGG or Canelo won and blindly argue about it but this was a fantastic boxing bout. This is what boxing is about, two fighters throwing everything on every punch, mad desire of glory and victory. Great display of boxing by this two men

Nevertheless, as a personal opinion, Im a bit dissapointed for that card from that judge that gave the fight to canelo with that wide difference (I root for canelo but that score card was bs idk what happened there). That score card unfortunately tarnished the incredible fight. I'd have believed a 149-148 canelo, a small edge but the truth is that the fight was extremely close, no way it could have been scored completely one sided in favor of any of both guys

Once I was screwed out of this clear a victory it'd be hard for me to want to "settle the business." Gennady's getting older and might be past his prime now. This is in all likelihood the best fight he'll ever fight against Canelo. And Canelo's not gonna stop being favored on the cards. He's the chosen cash cow of the sport now. He just has to hear the final bell.

@@RatatRatR U believe the hype around GGG. Y he change trainers if he is so good? If he truly won the first fight y didn't he dominate the second and catch Canelo even more and stop him? A boxer like Ward or Mayweather who u compare GGG to would make it clear they won the fight as Ward stopped Kovalev or Mayweather clearly outboxed Maidana. Instead Canelo walked down GGG for 12 rounds in the rematch? Whose face looked worse for wear after the 1st & 2nd fights? Please learn some boxing.

Rematches can go differently than first fights. Not sure how you don't know that.

I will be honest. This was one of the toughest fights I've seen in years. Two gladiators all out war for 12 rounds.

Big GGG fan, but canelo won this fight hy two rounds . GGG a beast and canelo as well. Two legends🇲🇽 🇰🇿

Golovkin honestly would make the greatest bare knuckle boxer in history. His fundamentals skills are out of this world. Barely any wasted movements, Godly jab with godly timing, insane subtle defensive movements to avoid critical damage, iron chin always tucked under all circumstance, footwork and balance always on point to cut ring off and deliver effective shots at required distance, strong asf etc

@@Tboy439 *EXACTLY.* That's what I've been saying. Most people have Canelo winning the 12th round but he only clearly won the first minute. The 10th round too. Although I definitely had GGG winning the 10th because again after the first minute Canelo barely did anything. You can easily have a 117-111 win for GGG.

Great fight by two of the best of their era. GGG won this in my eyes. Canelo seems to impress judges by landing a few heavy shots per round, they seem to ignore his opponent's more frequent but lesser hits.

Same. I felt the fight started out tight, close but GGG grew the lead. I guess the judges didn't feel the same.

Canelo is one of my favorite fighters, and 100% GGG won that fight man...
