It's okay if they don't agree with this type of investing, many of us do agree. I have 20 positions in high growth stocks. I'm getting 15 dividend pay checks, however I'm up 125 % this year. About $650k this yr, good dividend paying portfolio, although I use an F.A so buy as much as you can and wait for the rebound. Only the brave gets rewarded in these times!

Like Warren Buffet said, dividends are only good if the business you’re investing into can’t make good use of that capital. So if you’re trying to invest into businesses with actual growth, looking at dividends is a waste of time. Why are you investing into a company if they’re returning capital to you because they think you can make better use if it than they can. It’s not much different from bond investing. The way I see it if you have a $1 million at some point, that’d be enough to create a portfolio that would pay you between 50k-70k in dividend income...

It's not difficult, but you have to learn and handle. Another thing is that if you can't manage your home, maybe you shouldn't invest on your own. If so, you should hire a CFP to help you diversify your assets to include ETFs/index funds/mutual funds and stocks of companies with consistent cash flows, rather than betting on penny stocks.

I completely agree. I'm 54 years old and recently retired with roughly $1.8m in outside retirement funds, no debt, and very little money in retirement funds relative to the total value of my portfolio over the past 3 years. To be honest, the Fin-advisor's role can only be downplayed, not dismissed. Simply try to identify a reliable one. Spending money on possibilities and things that might not exist much sooner than we realize is completely different from wasting it. As you said, being value-conscious is essential.

I REALLY need to make this money work for me, and not just disappear over time. I've been scrambling for somewhere to put the money, where I can make an effort to use the gains to pay bills so I can quit my job or should force early retirement. Yep great question and that’s always the one - where would you rather be if you have an option. Personally I’m always invested aside from a small emergency fund. Financial-market for me seem the only way forward with my long time horizon (accrued almost $1.4m in gains since 2020 ) but if you don’t have that fortune of time it’s a tough market out there almost nowhere feels safe! . Just know the risk you're comfortable with . Mistake is expensive

100% right. The number 1 reason traders lose money is trading too large of a position due to no concept of risk management and money management and not spending enough time in the market. Here’s a tip. Imagine EVERY trade you initiate has a 30% chance of winning and 70% chance of losing and bet accordingly. Do that and I will guarantee you will start to see progress in your trading.

I've sold a property in Michigan and I’m considering investing the proceeds in stocks. With the current market optimism, I'm unsure if it's the right time to buy stocks and how long it will take for a full market recovery. The thing to me is, if you invest and have other income outside of dividends then you will be able to live off dividends without selling. Which means you can pass that on to your kids which will give them a leg up in life. $52k dividends received in 2022.

@@adenmall7596 Funny that you brought that up-I can definitely sympathize. I'm not sure whether I can say this, but look up ELEANOR ANNETTE ECKHAUS; she received a lot of press in 2020. She also manages my portfolio.

I started investing in the stock market because of dividends. What matters, in my opinion, is that if you invest and earn more money in addition to dividends, you will be able to live off of dividends without selling. It implies that you can pass that on to your children, giving them a head start in life. I've invested over $600k in dividend stocks over the years; I continue to buy more today and will continue to do so until the price lowers even further.

I always found the idea of using spreadsheets very time consuming and unnecessary. I just dump a bunch of money into my savings accounts each month and keep my spending money in a separate account and try to spend as little as possible. There are actually a lot of ways to make high yields in a crisis, but such trades are best done under the supervision of Financial advisor.

Ngl I've literally been thinking about market turbulence for 1 year now and most people wouldn't know what to do because this is the first bear market for them, hitting an all time high and now so many losses they might even scream, but then have you tried to consult a cfa to establish a diversification plan adapted to your portfolio? Basically, I just made my first $100,000 in a time of high Fed pivots, you should consider investing in mutual funds like Vanguard, Schwabs, or Fidelity. Crypto is also good because the returns are quite high, but to be on the safe side. Choose stock-based mutual funds

I've purchased numerous stocks in individual firms. Because there are so many stocks that will skyrocket in the long run, it is currently safe to buy in on ETF and ride it out. Due to fud, I sold out early, but then retraced my ways and re-invested $350,000 with a financial advisor who manages my account. I received an 82% return last year and will see where it goes this year.

These are very valuable rules for anybody who wants to get rich. Unfortunately, most people who will watch this video will not really be able to apply the principles. We may not want to admit, but as Warren Buffett once said, investing is like any other profession-- it requires a certain level of expertise. No surprise that some people are losing a lot of money in the bear market, while others are making hundreds of thousands in profit. I just don't know how they do it. I have about $89k now to put in the market.

Yeah, financial advisors could make a lot of difference, particularly in a market such as this. Stocks are pretty unstable at the moment, but if you do the right math, you should be just fine. Bloomberg and other finance media have been recording cases of folks gaining over 250k just in a matter of weeks/couple months, so I think there are a lot of wealth transfer in this downtime if you know where to look. I have been using an FA since 2019, and I return at least $21k ROI, and this does not include capital gain.

About $650k this yr. good dividend paying portfolio, although I use an F.A so buy as much as you can and wait for the rebound. Only the brave gets rewarded in these times!

It is very easy to buy in on trending stocks but the problem is knowing when to sell or hold, which is why a consultant is important. Even with the right technique and assets some investors would still make more than others. As an investor, you should've known that by now that nothing beats experience and that's final. Personally I had to reach out to a stock expert for guidance which is how I was able to grow my account close to $35k, withdraw my profit right before the correction and now I'm buying again.

With an initial starting reserve of $80k, my adviser chooses the entry and exit commands for my portfolio, which has grown to approximately $550k.

Good video. but let me mention something important, i see a lot of young and old making mistakes that i think shouldn't be. i think everyone, young or old, should have an investment plan that increases their financial return by three to six figures. the investment can be your retirement plan or your future plan, whatever you want, but what matters most is that you have a profitable investment.

Great video Matt, one that folks really need to watch. I’m 50, retired a while at 45. I have 35% of my capital invstments in an IRA, 25% in index funds, and the balance spread across other investment accts, in cumulative of over $ 5M. I receive income from my rental properties too. Zero debt and all is going accordingly.

In my case Klaus Cassius has helped me to do that proficiently. I'm not a guru so I don't really have fascinating strategies. I work and my consultant does the rest.

*Some of the non-tech that I think are positioned to go really up are Home Depot, Delta Airlines, Pool Corp, etc. I'II be rooting for these stocks, and have set aside almost $200k for that. Having issues now with how to allocate capital, and to know if my projections are right based on technical observations.*

thank you for this tip , I must say, helene appears to be quite knowledgeable. After coming across her online page, I thoroughly went through her resume, and I must say, it was quite impressive. I reached out to her, and I have booked a session with her.

the yield on bonds have decreased especially on the long end (30 and 10 Y) indicating that the demand is still there even if the supply remains huge showing a preference for safety. I'm still at a crossroad regarding whether or not to liquidate my $138k

I diversified my $500K portfolio across various market with the guidance of an investment coach, I have been able to generate a little bit above $1m in net profit across high dividend yield stocks, ETF and equity during this red season in the market But the truth is that you cannot do that without a tested trading strategy

Buy an index fund that holds every stock in the whole stock market such as VTSAX, or FZROX and put it on auto buy every paycheck, so every two weeks or month you automatically buy. Don't try and time the market and dont sell, just keep buying.

Its important to know your investment goals and what sort of returns you aim for. It is easy to find constant low risk investments options that keep up with or slightly pass inflation, but anything above that comes at the cost of more risk. Are you a fundamental or technical guy? Day trader, swing trader, buy and hold? Are you willing to take safer lower investment income over riskier higher income? Do you believe in market indicators? Can you recognize if you are trading out of greed, or if you are trading with a plan and purpose with stops put in place? That all takes time to learn and we all know that the economy and the markets are not the same thing.

@@donaldlocher2537 My FA’s method is to buy quality firms, anticipate to hold them regardless of what happens, pay up but not too much, keep track, sell only when necessary, and be ready to course correct, use this and you’d make half a mil in a year like I did
