Honestly, Gullyy you should do more 1v1s with the tribes that are considered not as good in competitive. It would be a fun challenge and we all know you are good enough to do it.

I agree. I think it’s also more fun seeing him struggle and not just dominating from the beginning

I’ve had people resign from the game in the mid game, I figure they get scared and believe they will ultimately lose so they resign.

Pretty nice game. With my Ai-mo experience I wouldn't train a second warrior in the beginning. The two biggest strats with Ai-mo are a giant rush or a philosophy rush. But overall I think you were in a pretty good position and I honestly think this video should show that Ai-mo is a underrated tribe. Ofcourse they are not for everyone and they are kinda hard to play, but personally Ai-mo has become my best tribe.

I like to train a second warrior and then get philosophy right after. I’ve had better success with it compared to just having one warrior. Because if you only have one warrior and he doesn’t find a village right away. You’re screwed

@@loganorr2185 I will have to try this strat. But I don't think you're screwed right away, cuz with the monument it's worth it. I always level up my capital city, but I always make sure to buy a tech who can also level up the second city. After I upgraded my capital city, I wait until my bank has 8 Stars, always pik workshop. Don't take a city yet. Than I go for philosophy and capture my second village. Next turn I build my monument in my capital city and grab 5 stars. Than you have 10 stars and a cost decrease, so you can go for basically everything. That's how I had the most success with Ai-mo.

I thought Ai-Mo sucked until my friend in a 1v1 got a turn 5 giant and flattened the Eastern part of my empire like pavement

Ai mo sounds suboptimal if you dont take philosophy But then again the situations where that tech gives you an advantage is dubious

Ai mo is a decent tribe in my book, its pretty balanced and can sometimes be a challenge to play with

But if they were a good tribe it really wouldn't matter. You can play Bardur, Imperius, Zebawsi etc on a map of any size and not struggle at all.

Yeah but Ai mo is god tier and I would bet money on them beating any of those tribes in any situation besides a small or normal sized dry lands map.

Here’s a challenge for Gully: regular map, everything regular, but he has to spawn a bunny every three turns

You can see how close a city is to leveling up by looking at its score. Points equal 50 + 50 per level, plus each pop gives it 5 points. 315 would need 3 more pop for example.

Loved the video! Here is a idea for a challenge: You have to take the opposite of what you would normally choose every time you level up a city, works with any tribe. Love from Norway❤

It's annoying when someone leaves midgame, personally I keep playing until I die or have to be somewhere else

I think the reason ai mo is better than you think is because philosophy is only good if you have no other enemies near your spawn, because if you have no enemies, you obviously dont need to produce units, and only need to get as much tech as possible, which gets the discount, while obviously units do not. Another reason they werent good in this video is due to it being a drylands map, because in drylands, you only really need roads and riding, and some economic techs, while in more water based maps, youll need naviation generally which is a tier 3 tech, which would obviously benifit alot from the literacy bonus But of course they are still not too good, its just their unique playstyle and planning makes them fun to play, same reason why everyone likes yaddack so much, as the gameplay is more than just upgrading your capital and nothing special

Hi gully, ive been using a new tecnique with oumaji. The First thing you do i searching for a Village White your rider, the second thing search for organization in the turn 0. Done that you rush till you get philosophy by searching and upgrading your Village it's very useful when the opponents has bardur or imperius because you can expande way faster and it's al litte tricky with mind Bender if It used corrrectly Edit: you can use Road and then spam riders and knight, it's good because you can create Giants very fast

You definently should have gotten philosiphy. I play Ai-Mo fairly regularly, and what I have found to be the best strat for them is to get a either hunting or organization, then philosiphy, not for the tech cost decrease but fir the mind benders, which can be exellent in many situations.

You defended yourself good of of the Bardur push.😄

That irritates me, I find allot of players resign when it's not an easy win. Personally I always see it through no matter how bad it looks, then I friend you and challenge you until I win... You won't improve playing weaker opponents, learnt this in my early school days playing chess. Took me 10 years to beat my father.

how could you hate gully for putting ai mo in d tier, the only way he's wrong is by not putting him in f tier

I like playing aima, they have interesting mechanics but its not the best tribe ever edit:also, youre playing aima wrong. what i like to do is just research philosophy as my 1st or 2nd tech as its still only 7stars and it will help massively with the 33% tech price reduction. you do have to get lucky with their spawn tho, if you cant level up your capital with 1tech or if the other cities you find early game require different techs youre at a big disadvantage.
