16:00 wouldn't he have denied you your income from those cities as well. Not to mention it gives sight and resets the frontlines of the attack. Probably was the right play tbh.

The attack had its advantages, like the ones you mentioned, but overall going chivalry wasn't the best choice for the Bardur player. They got on the water quite late because of that and eventually lost the game.

@@polychampions I was talking more in the context of the turn itself. I agree that on a macroscopic level the chivalry tech was definitely wrong. With what vision of the lake they had it would have been fair to assume it would be a 2v1 naval situation and getting in earlier would have been much better.

I was thinking that adding in the denied income and removing a giant from the board made it a good net play. IMO, the root deciding factor was the city count. Four and four vs SIX and four, as I recall.

Why the hell did no one get the water protection tech. It seems so useful.
