Technically, the offer of altar of peace isn't null and void if you attack before turn 5, it's null and void if you never go 5 consecutive turns without attacking, but those 5 turns can be at any point in the game you want, technically

For sure. You can get the Altar of Peace after any stretch of 5 turns without attacking. It is more fun to say this way :)

5 turns without attacking is very very unlikely to happen in real game in later turns though.

Because a 1 hp catapult does no damage compared to the swordsmen and giants coming on that front
