Btw, now that ports and fishing is in one tech, you can always put ports to boost your economy whenever your capital is a coastal city. Ports cost 7 upfront for a population at first, but if you have multiple coastal cities, you will obtain 2 population plus 1 population on capital for 7 stars investment, which is decent, just a bit worse than fruits/animals, but better than farms or huts or mines.

yea he was totally owning and crybabing all the time; he got ton of water units vs no water units + 9 cities vs 5 + total map control on three fronts (center, left, right); there was not a single moment he was at risk of losing
