When I was 16, I found a 6 minute video of him by typing in “funny black comedian” 13 years later, I still type the same words in and watch the same video 🤣🤣🤣 literally my favorite comedian

His impressions are so good, such an underrated comic.

I've been to The Comedy Cellar about a dozen times and I almost always went to the last show of the evening. The comedians are usually loosened up, some have had a few drinks in them, and they also don't have to worry about time and their set goes as long as they want it to. Almost every single time I went (to the original location), Godfrey closed the show. He always killed it. He's such a natural and it's easy to see why he was always tapped to be the closer in a small room full of strong comics.

UNDERRATED indeed! I've worked with him when he comes to our local club the last 10 years doing 5 to 7 shows on a weekend, and every time, he smashes every show!! Hecklers don't stand a chance when he claps back, because it's over before it begins, and they leave embarrassed AF

He’s been on Netflix on multiple podcast including Breakfast club, 85 South Show, and his very own podcast “In Godfrey we trust” he’s mostly streaming service and internet based now. Because the industry such as Comedy Central isn’t the same as it was back in the day with it’s unfair treatment of ppl. However he is on MTV’s “Wilding Out” hosted by Nick Cannon. So please y’all go check him out if y’all really enjoy him and the entertainment he provides. We can all agree that should laugh and smile a little more especially in hard times like this.
