Beautiful!!!

Its really time for Hyundai to break off a luxury line like they originally planned to do with the Genesis line. I think it would really work for them and they need to get on it soon. So many haters because of the Hyundai name when they are actually very good cars.

Agreed. Hyundai needs to have a separate luxury division to build these cars. That way they can cultivate a separate prestigious brand independent of Hyundai like Toyota, Honda and Nissan have done. that will go a long way in building the reputation of their cars

This is a solid looking concept that builds on Hyundai's hexagonal grille first used in the 2008 HED-5 concept and the 2009 Hyundai Tucson. Looks like hiring Audi's and Bentley's head designers is paying off.

Man I hope this makes it to production, what a clean looking car.

Because you need more than just two products (Genesis sedan and Equus) to have a brand. This takes time and a LOT of money. Hyundai has been doing the right thing in strengthening their brand first.

JDubbs07 I disagree. All brands start somewhere and no new brand will have a full line-up of vehicles right as they start. Look at Lexus, they wanted to build the world's best vehicle and the result was the LS 400. The car was meant to give Toyota a foothold in the premium car market and then Lexus was created. TL;DR Lexus started with one luxury vehicle, Hyundai can and should do the same.

+WuWei Xu I've never been a fan of the concept of "just because ____ did it, you should do it, too". Clearly neither is Hyundai. Beyond that statement, there really is no rational reason why Hyundai needs to launch a separate luxury brand before they feel they're ready. You have to do what works for you. Hyundai is a very large company full of very smart people. They already have a plan, let them execute it.

JDubbs07 I forgot that this was the internet, no opinions allowed right? It is always annoying and frustrating to hear someone say they won't buy a car because of brand name. Kia and Hyundai both make excellent vehicles, but lots of people care more about brand rather than value, which is why I wish they made a new brand.

+WuWei Xu Who said anything about not having opinions? You shared your point. I provided a counterpoint. Many people certainly care about brands, but I don't see a problem with selling an alternative product for the alternative shopper, the "individualist", if you will. In the Genesis' class, technically anything that isn't a 5 Series or E-Class is an alternative choice, meaning you have to really WANT that Q70. I believe the Genesis ranks 3rd by sales volume, so I'd say they're coming along well. It's a very good product. And Kia has a prototype production GT sedan roaming the streets now. I'm really looking forward to that.

matt k In 2006 Hyundai showed this grill in their concept,later in 2008 on Tucson...Audi copied this grill in 2012 on their a6 and Audi always had rounded grill not hexagonal.

Hyundai has made a luxury division. It's called the Genesis. They have introduced G90 (Equus) and will produce Genesis, Genesis coupe, etc later this decade.

If this Genesis debuted like the Lexus LC-500 did with their vehicle closely to the actual concept vehicle. This Genesis coupe hands down would be one of the best large coupe on the road reliability style class and a GT vehicle.

It depends. I actually feel like lately the concepts are becoming closer to reality as its becoming financially realistic to build cars with interesting surfaces and digital displays in large volumes .

+ironvista Hmmm, well ... taking your logic that a luxury division would still be a Hyundai, then a Lexus is still a Toyota, an Infiniti would still be a Nissan, and an Acura would still be a Honda. Ok, .. I agree!!! ... Only thing is, ... still being a Hyundai isNOT a bad thing, considering Hyundai has won more overall quality awards in recent years than any of the above, and its currently ranked by J.D. Powers & Associates as tied with Infiniti and BMW with a 4/5 stars in overall quality, whereas Lexus, Mercedes and Acura are all ranked a 3/5 stars in overall quality! Check for yourself!

Nice clean design. However, the insignia behind the front doors look out of place. Also, it looks too big to be a sports car. A grand tourer is more plausible.

Sexy!!!! That V-8 is a very fast motor in the Genesis sedan. It should be a real screamer in this coupe! I sold Hyundai for 3 years after selling high end luxury cars for almost 20 years. Then the economy went south and so did luxury sales. Never thought I’d sell Hyundai’s but they really have made some great improvements in their brand. I couldn’t believe how many customers I sold there 3rd 4th and 5th + cars!! Before I left I bought my wife a Elantra Limited in 2015! She loves it. The only bitch I have is the factory tires aren’t the best in the snow. They wear ok but they are not good all season tires.

Looks more like the front fascia of a ford fusion rear lights of jaguar xjl side of a mercedes c and s class. And the L shape on both bottom sides which reminds me of a Cadillac sedan.

Lol the whole time I watched this video all I was thinking was Mercedes SL. That interior especially screams SL. Nicely done Hyundai.. this will most definitely be the inspiration for the next Genesis Coupe.. they have already said many times that the next gen coupe will be an upmarket luxury sports car, this could be it right here.

Sigrafix Please people..,get your vision corrected. The front is clear copy of Mercedes Vision GT Concept. No SL,no S klasse..,no Audi or Bentley or whatever imagination you got there. Interior is full copy of S klasse. The 2 screen layout,the center and mid console,the door panels..,even the seat design is from there. Front grill does NOT need to be a copy from anybody. Every car from this class that needs presence must come with wide and solid grill. Examples like Rolls Royce,Bentley,Lexus LS are few to mention. The honeycomb stile and thick solid stainless steel net though can be referred to Bentley..,and the emblem with the wings too. Overall i can say that its a beautiful soup of copied elements from here and there..,yes,the result is spectacular,but i do believe that company like Hyundai and their design engineers could use a bit more imagination .

Eddie K Why not. This car although not in complete concept form would represent the upmarket push they continue to strive for. And as such this would serve as a Halo car for the company. To flesh out their Genesis/Equus line. They need a high performance coupe such as this.

6 series is more of a 5 series segment than S Class. I could see it offering 6 series coupe features for 4 series money. Same principal as the Genesis Sedan. Or S Class coupe features for E class money to move further upmarket.

ecdctechmma Sooo just because it has a different color and wood accents justifies for the knock-off dual screen dash and diamond stitching seats in the S-Class? The side profile is also very similar to the S-Class coupe. Regardless it's a concept and chances are, the production version will not look anything like that.
