How much does it cost in your country?

I have a 2023 Tuscon and I love the safety features and collision detection not just for the front but the back also. Lane assist and the self steering is also awesome.. very happy with it and I’m so glad this wasn’t a disappointing watch for me. Thank you.

The Tucson has additional safety features that were not tested. One of them is for instance when I reverse my Tucson out of the driveway and the car detects an oncoming car from the side, the brakes are automatically applied and a warning signal is sounded to completely avoid a collision.

That is such a great help in crazy parking lots...people dont watch as they walk and or try to hurry by you when they see you backing up. I just got a 2022 Tucson Hybrid and I made sure it had that feature or I wouldnt buy it....in 2017 I went with a CRV because Hyundai only offered many of the standard CRV safety features on the top of the line with expensive packages making the CRV cheaper.

My wife was broadsided by a car estimated to go between 60-65mph. According to State Troopers, the sides-airbags saved her life. Surprisingly the driver's door was indented "only" by approximately 8 inches, but did cause injures to her left leg. The car was totaled due to additional post-impact damage. The 2015 Honda Civic that hit her was also totaled. The front was unrecognizable. She wants another, but 2022, Tuscon now.

I also met another lady some years back, and she told me that she was once in an accident on Route 80 in Pennsylvania and she was driving a Hyundai Elantra and she swore by that car, that she survived without any incident because of that car. The car was wrecked, but she was without injury and yes, she bought another Hyundai Elantra. I am researching between the Hyundai Tucson and the Toyota RAV4, so you gave me some additional valuable information. Thanks again for your reply.

I have the Non-Hybrid Limited FWD. And to be honest, it's a worth it car. If you're are not looking for a speedy mini-SUV that has all the safety features, a full panoramic roof, a nice Bose sound system, a 360 camera with many views, this is for you. Yes, it gets dusty sometimes with the gloss glass infotainment screen; however, there's a car wash subscription now you can use to tackle that mini inconvenience if you want. I like to keep my car clean, so I have it washed at least once a week, lol. It solves that problem. 😂 Overall, an excellent buy for what it gives you.

Hopefully same Tucson comes to India with such a dope build quality....

I just bought a new 2022 Tucson hybrid SEL and so far I really like it. This is my 4th new Hyundai out of the last 5 new cars I have purchased. None of them gave me any troubles in the 76,000-84,000 miles I owned each of them before I traded them in. My only complaint so far is having to use the FOB to lock the car when I leave....I was spoiled by my CRV with walk away locking....I never had to touch my fob or as I go to bed worry did I lock my car.

You don't have to use the key fob to lock it, just have the key fob on you ans touch the button on the door handle as you exit and close the door. Same thing to unlock it, just push the button.

@@sarahboudreau1609 Thank you that is technically true, I should have specified better....but that is very hit and miss...and frankly a PITA lol....I have to move my finger around and get it just right to get mine to work... easier to just hit the fob.....but much much easier to just walk away like I can do with my CRV. Simple things please me lol....but I don't understand why something so simple couldn't be included on a $35,000 Tucson.

The limited version will send you a Notification on your phone if you forget to lock it and then you can lock it from your phone it is very convenient you can also start it from your phone anywhere

@@stockc6zo626 I have an app I can remote lock, unlock and start but it doesn't remind me to lock it....good point about the app.....that seems like a simple app addition....if they can't put in an auto lock in the cars computer maybe 1 in the app? When your digital key/phone gets more than a couple feet away it auto locks.

The pole side crash looks like it would mess you up For sure

I am planning to buy a Tucson PHEV SEL. The Tucson has earned five star ratings from the IHS and done as well in Europe. However, that sidecar impact with the pole I agree looks troubling. Hopefully deployment of the airbags will protect occupants.

My one vexing concern with this car is the bumper level turn signals for the back light…there’s a visibility issue if you’re driving in small cities in which people are accustomed to sticking so close that the bumper is not always visible 😢

I call that a problem of the idiots who tailgate; not the vehicle (similar to blaming a gun for shooting someone). I will say the turn signal on my '23 should have been LED (faster on/off is noticeable and brighter) however, first night I replaced them with LEDs. As for visibility, I get behind a '22 Tucson a lot in the mornings (before and after purchasing the my '23) and never had a problem seeing the turn signals. And this is NOT the only vehicle that has bumper mounted turn signals.

@@douglasdever6134 well, let’s just say I live in one of those Asian cities that have very small roads and a very dense population, so people on average are used to driving much closer than elsewhere…on top of that it’s overrun with scooters that stick VERY close to cars (to the point that they will likely miss bumper signals) as they weave in and out between traffic, so that is actually another primary concern…and this might be the only vehicle I know of thus far that they actually sell here with bumper signals…the problem is I do like this car, and I also hope it’s a non issue

I was quoted €500, by an hyundai dealer,to replace a crack outside tail light,they are a nice motor,but you will pay top dollar for replacement parts

Because of the shock vs hard plastics. It creates sufficient pressure to where one material surrounded by another material (even if plastic with different resistance) will simply decouple.

One thing about KIA and Hyundai is deny deny deny, and then excuse after excuse after excuse rather than admit there is something wrong with the engines, eventually adding more and more model and model years to their list of recalls. I've been following their fires and each time it's something else: oil drip pan, coolant, some other electrical wire, all that can lead to fire, and yet they still can't admit that there is an issue with the rods. They just recently recalled Palisades and Tellurides from the most recent 2022 MY. Lol Only fake news is the one you follow, or you own stock or you're an employee/salesperson for the brands.

this test has 1 serious flaw....in practical world most of time person will either stop/freeze or do back n forth after seeing speeding car towards him and not keep on running/walking like in this test
