It was hybrid. It has more power than just with gasoline engine.
Got a hybrid just before Christmas 21. Best car I have ever had.

Me to lovely car …safety features are really good.Faultless drive glad I chopped in my A5 would never go back to Aud too many faults in a short amount of time..
Love this car. The looks are awesome and the performance has nothing more to desire. 200kmh is enough for me, might actually save me from going straight to jail when I buy the N Line hybrid hopefully by next spring. Great video as usual, thanks.
My family's gotten one of these recently and i have to say, it feels alot faster than it looks in this video and its also SUPER fun to drive fast in sport mode

Great video, thanks for sharing. Have you tried max acceleration in ECO mode? To test response time?

Thank you for your comment. No I haven't tried in eco mode but I don't think there is a big difference except that in eco mode the gears will shift faster.
The vibration during the 0-100 test is from wheel hop. Turning off traction control helps. I'm not sure why it does that, but the Elantra Sport (2017-2020) with the 1.6t does the same thing.

how to make the parking sensor not turn on at a speed of 30 km/h ?
These 1.6T power trains seem to be pretty good in Hyundai/Kia vehicles. I drive a seltos with the 1.6T with the DCT, pretty peppy for what it is.
198km/h avec le 2.5 atmo. Je voulais le 200km/h, mais il passe le 6ème rapport à cette vitesse et manque de force pour gagner les 2km/h manquant. Avec une petite pente, je pense que j’aurais dépassé les 200km/h. Mon modèle est AWD en passant
Ich finde,im Sport-Modus macht die Beschleunigung viel Freude,oder? Und 203km/h istvauch ausreichend,wenn man mal kurz Adrenalin möchte,sicherlich gibt es schnellere SUV'S,aber braucht man das? Ich finde dieses Modell völlig ok

I haven't ever pushed my Hyundai Tucson (Ultimate Hybrid with Tech pack) beyond 75km/hour. Beyond that, I might hyperventilate 🤣

How gasoline engine will start and work cold without heating
Is this the 2WD version? The wet road and cold weather means your standing start metrics are way off reality for this vehicle. If traction was not a limiting factor ie AWD or warmer drier road, then it would be a different story. Well done video nonetheless

@@animeforlife7759 I just checked the video, when they go around to the back of the car you can see there's no HTRAC badge, meaning it's front wheel drive version. 258ft lbs of torque to 2 wheels in the cold and wet = wheelspin = slow.

I find the Tucson with the GDI engines extremely expensive as far as regular maintenance goes. At 19.000 Kilometer , the PCV valve had to be replaced, very costly labour for a "new" car. Gasoline needed expensive additives , in order and this was written on the work order, trying to keep the engine carbon free! Its a 2021 but nevertheless way too maintenance sensitive, and that's being kind. Never again.

Cold temperatures and wet road means wheel slip. You can see the traction control light flashing multiple times which applies brakes and cuts throttle. None of the standing start metrics are valid due to limited traction. Likely a 2WD version as well.
Question: why is the car shaking that much when accelerating quickly from 0? Is this how hybrids do? (never owned a hybrid, I'm getting my first one in 2 days)

This noise is caused by the wheels spinning quickly on the asphalt as a result of the large acceleration force. The Tucson has a torque of 350 Nm and 230 horsepower. This phenomenon occurs in all cars with a powerful engine and maximum acceleration. If you drive off at a slower speed, the wheels will not spin and this noise will not occur.

@@willemalias5663 That vibration is caused because Traction Control was on. At quick acceleration the Traction Control is trying to prevent the tires from spinning causing that vibration. Turn Traction Control off, that vibration will not happen. Whoever made this video, obviously is not to knowledgeable about these things, nor are you, to be answering this question. It has nothing to do with torque/horsepower. Just turn Traction Control OFF

@@rdwngdblkbrd629 The cause is probably the slipping of the wheels due to a lack of traction. The lack of traction can be due to various causes, such as slippery tires, different surface of the road (slipperyness). Also whether or not the traction control is switched on. With your response you indicate that you have little experience in driving under those conditions and that you also have little technical insight. Wishing you many more safe kilometers. Drive carefully!

I think that since I didn't deactivate the traction control the car goes into safety mode maybe that’s where it came from 🤷🏾♂️

When I accelerated I was in the 20 liters and more but on average between 8 and 9L/100

@@hristogluharov9763 Makes not much sense to compare a plug-in hybrid with a normal hybrid. Hyundai isn't the best choise for fuel economy, Toyota and Honda are getting better gas milage.

I drive a Tucson 2021 and say that the car is very quiet at a speed of 130-150 km / h
where is noise measurement in db? Dont see anything
Official motors review tested 194km/h and acceleration in 8’.

This is not a plug-in hybrid model. It recharges itself using the motor. But for a plug-in hybrid, the range is around 50 km.

@@autofastmag it's not 50 km, pls get your info right. Got the plugin myself. When i first got it in february the range was about 65 km with the brand new engine, also the cold weather and i didn't know how to optimize my driving properly so part of the battery recharges on it's own. I now average 92-102 km which is quite a lot for a 14 kw battery, costing me literally 0 Euro and 15-100% in exactly 2h.

Neah... 0-100 is faster, it's like 8 seconds in sport mode, but in the way you took the start with those vibrations and curve before straight line took you 2 more seconds.

You can't do a speed test accurately like that coming in from an angle onto the motorway,it has to be done in a straight line

wet conditions, FWD, havy acceleration = looses grip every split second and regains it by traction control = the wheels bounce a bit. 100% normal for FWD cars with pretty decent power when its wet. This is the main problem with FWD cars

If you set up your camera properly = shutter speed to be double your frame rate 23.97fps / 48 or 50 You’ll loose all the flickering on LED

Hyundai is the 4th most reliable brand in the world. Mercedes and BMW and like, 20th something. Maybe he’s saying “trash” in regards to the car not being hyper ultra super Ferrari fast.
