Honestly, Linkle needs her own spin off. The concept is just too adorable. A would be hero following a destiny not her own, only to find what something she can truly call hers.

I booted it up for a battle or two this morning -- So far there's some new maps, an unlockable "mid-combo" extra attack for Link/Zelda/Impa (all weapons, I think), and a new series of story battles to chase. It also seems the basic update streamlined some of the menus, which is always nice for QoL.

My predicament as well..... (Hyrule warriors side of things I don’t own immortal fenyx yet) but I noticed that dlc 2 dropped and I may get back into Age of Calamity again as I haven’t touched it since I beat it (was a long time ago) heck I may start from scratch as I don’t remember too much about the game other than thinking that it was great

Sooga is also a new playable character from the new DLC you should also showcase him, cause he's the best and he's so cool!

Currently going through the adventure map of the first hyrule warriors and this game is beckoning me!

I can’t go back to warriors after playing AoC. They both have their pros and some things I miss but I’d wager AoC is the definitive Zelda warriors game. It’s so damn good.

Yeah because this game shoulda been complete from the get go. I've already finished it last year and have no reason or incentive to return again to play the game. Especially not after that nonsensical ending. Game was fun and I enjoyed it I'm just kinda done with it.

This DLC looks so much fun to play! I’m definitely getting and playing it!

Started playing again. Looks like Impa can now dash-cancel during Stasis to help drain the weakness gauge without her "shadows" sitting down; pretty sure she couldn't do that before. Thanks so much for the update! 👍

@@pedrosgamingcorner3920 Definitely not Day 1. Not all characters were able to dash-cancel out of Stasis, including Impa. Her "shadows" would sit down, and the player was stuck with her preset slash-and-kick combo, which didn't maximize the hits for the weakness gauge.

The little robot guy reminds me of Atlas from Portal 2.

@@MonadoBoi I've only done the 1st mission but so far its reliving egg boi doing missions from from his memory b4 finding Zelda. Shows how other evil egg came to be & u have to fight him without sheikh slate or rods. 2nd mission is Kakariko village.

I'd love if they added a DLC where the game plays without the egg guardian ever coming to this timeline, and have to play through the battles that actually does lead to BoTW. I get that it would all mostly be kind of similar but still, it'd be cool to see what it'd be like fighting a losing battle and actually see it all play out

So, basically an original-timeline campaign that's actually a prequel to BOTW? That could be neat, but only if you could buy it and play it without having to buy the base game (like the Torna: the Golden Country DLC for Xenoblade Chronicles 2). I don't care for warriors gameplay; I was only interested in it because the marketing kept falsely-advertising it as a BOTW prequel, so, after I found out the truth, I chose not to buy the game.

In itself an awesome idea, but keep in mind that AoC has essentially killed the potential of it because it revealed what precisely caused the loss of the war, and it was very anti-climactic. It's essentially the same story except the Champions die inside the Divine Beasts instead of winning their battles and ends with Link being killed by a generic Guardian, leaving little to no room for a proper boss fight.

@@sessaku9361 yeah, but they could do things differently to make things more interesting, like maybe you can play as the enemy for some battles like you could in the original hyrule warriors so it wouldn’t completely be the same, but yeah we pretty much know how it happened in the BoTW timeline after playing AoC

Personally I am hoping for Astor as he would have some unique moves. Don’t really know what Sooga would have besides swinging a sword around which link can already do.

So hyped for this. Age of calamity is one of the best switch games

So I finished the DLC and I do have one criticism. Why do the side quest missions feel so... lacking? with rewards I mean. It's like they don't feel too rewarding at all to accomplish. I mean, their could have been more... costumes? Because the fact that only Link has gotten a huge chunk of them, just feels underwhelming for other characters. I know they were probably easy to import into the game, but what about Zelda? She could have gotten her royal dress she wears in cutscenes and legacy costumes of past versions of her. It just feels very underwhelming for that part. But I will admit, I love the new characters and the memory quest cutscenes. But for the most part, the DLC for this game feels underwhelming...

Played the dlc yesterday and had a great time

I still need to get around to playing this.

Pro tip for Koei Tecmo games: always wait 2-3 years for the complete/updated edition. You can argue that goes for most games nowadays, but it’s especially true with theirs, as so much of the joy in Musou games is unlocking stuff, and the first version of their games are always a little anemic on that front. In another year or two we’ll get the true version of this game, and it’ll be great, just like with OG Hyrule Warriors.

Though I agree the base game netted me 90 hours and I have yet to buy the dlc. Haven’t touched the game since completing either. I hope they bring this dlc to NSO+EP

I doubt anything else is coming for this game after this Original Hyrule Warriors was a special case because it came out on a failed console, had an alternate version on handheld with a bunch of differences and then finally re-released on Switch with a merge of both versions plus new content. This is just a game with a season pass. Waiting a year or two from now is pointless and if people do, they'll just feel stupid because this is following the model of every big Nintendo release on Switch so far. Nintendo fans are real morons smh

Probably not because Age of Calamity is a alternative timeline where the heroes actually win against Ganon. So anything that happens won't really matter in Breath of the Wild 2.

The story missions that you play on this 2nd wave are part of Hyrule warriors Age of calamity canon. You get to play scenarios that explain certain aspects of the main story that we didn't really know like how Kohga escaped when he and Sohga fought against Astor

I love how the framerate is stable here in the trailer but playing the game is a whole different experience 💀

Can definitely attest to the framerate problem. It's averaging somewhere around 20-25 fps most of the time. Admittedly the Switch I own is the slower launch model rather than the slightly faster Mariko revision, but even still it's astounding to me that the game was released in this state. Koei Tecmo was able to achieve 60fps on the PS2. It's perfectly within their wheelhouse to hit a locked 30 on Switch hardware

@@themm2271 there's no frame skipping (where it literally skips over different pictures in one second), but more so it slows down A LOT. Try using Urbosa's special attack (forgot what they were called) on a horde of enemies. The framerate plummets into the single digits. The funny thing is though, is that it's not entirely the Switch's fault - Koei Tecmo hit 60fps on the PS2; why can they not even hit solid 60fps on PS4 or a locked 30fps on the Switch? it's so stupid how bad it is.

@@twewymuncher yes I’ve used urbosa’s special many times before without any problems, and also just because they got 60fps on the ps2 doesn’t mean they would be able to do 30fps on the switch. They’re different games that work entirely differently from each other
