Back in the day when it was required to mix ourselves, there was always that feeling in the back of your mind "DID I MIX IT CORRECTLY?" . AT LEAST WITH PREMIX, HVING THE CONFIDENCE IN THAT PRODUCT IS CRITICAL AND THERE IS NOTHING TO GAIN BY THEM IN SELLING AN INFERIOR PRODUCT FOR TWO-STROKE ENGINES. I like the equipment.

Only thing is premix is $19.99/bottle for a 110oz size. I'm sure though I could leave it in a machine over winter and not have any problems starting in spring..

To those having trouble loading line here is the way I do it. 1. Squeeze the tabs on the sides of the spool head until the cover pops up. 2. Sperate the spool from the cover, the spring should not fall out, if it does just set it aside. 3. You will notice there is a channel passing completely through the spool. Cut a length of line stipulated in the manual. (10-15 feet will do) 4. Push the line all the way through the channel on the spool making sure there is an equal length on both sides of the spool. 5. Now, thread each end through the holes on the cover, pull out one length of line through the cover, do the same step on the other side of the cover. 6. Make sure the spring is still placed in the center, on the bottom of the cover. 7. Now, line up the release tabs on the top piece with the holes on the spool cover. Making sure the string is pulled equally on both sides and push the cover against the top until it clicks back into place. 8. Now you reel-up the string by turning the nob sticking out of the bottom of the spool cover in the direction indicated on the nob. 9. Leave about five inches of line sticking out on each side and you are done!

Belive it or not. Even though these are mass produced MTD trimmers. I love them. They're better than those 25cc trimmers they sell. Even though these are similar

I actually love this trimmer. Bought it as a joke and ended up loving it. Still running mine 3 years later, being used commercially

@@zinnstigertownmowers780 just got it today and set it up. Mowed my lawn and then used the eater and man what an upgrade from my corded harbor freight $40 eater. Soo far I am very happy with it and I have heard it has the quick feed head like the Echo, the line it came with seems pretty decent as well.

Just bought one. Used it for a half hour, so far am very pleased. Straight shaft, starts easily, decent power. If it proves to be reliable it's a bargain for $102. The oil that came with it claims to counteract the ethanol. Never heard of it, but it's been a couple years since I've messed with 2 cycle.

Ya. Some of those oils are supposed to also have stability in them. I just go ahead and use the non ethanol premixed gas.

I use the premixed gas from Walmart. I just started using my 3rd can this mowing season. I use it in my weed whip and leaf blower. I have no problems with the premixed gas.

I feel like these are decent enough for people just starting out with a lawn care company. I have a curved shaft HyperTough I bought probably 3 years ago now, that thing has been through a beating an all throughout the time it never failed up until the last time I used it it was giving some starting issues most likely a bad spark plug because it was never changed but 3 years for $78 is what it cost me you can't beat that.

Started out (when I did house to house) with a Troy Bilt similar to this. Loved it, broke the choke lever on the first yard but no big deal, then broke the incredipull at the end of thec eason. Had a craspy Bolens BL110 before that and the sirbox fell off. But cutting yards I made my money off of it many times. If I had it all over to do I'd go with my beloved STHIL brand Heard from a good buddy that after a few years even with good maintenance they run crappy period. But I still like these

I agree I've had the curve shaft for 5 years, just recently bought straight shaft, And I have 10 yards I service every 2 weeks.. Hyper tough good product..

My wife ordered one online, it came in today. Ours is a 25cc and the mix ratio is 40:1. Hopefully it is as good as yours. I just wish it was a straight shaft, I am 6'1" with a bad back.🤣 Good video! Now I've gotta get to work.

For you. You should of ordered the battery. Gas engine is too shaky for your bad back

How do you thread the string?

Mine is difficult to start and the fuel tank seems small. Wish the cut off switch was by the throttle. Waiting on parts for my Echo, so comparing them isnt fair. Gotta say the Walmart is noticeably quieter, runs pretty good when started, never seen a straight shaft at this price, has a 2 yr warranty. Seems to have just enough power to get the job done. No vibration until running full wide open. Have a great day.

Does this trimmer have a clutch, or does the head continue to spin whenever the motor is running... like the one I have now? I'm looking for a straight shaft model, and I don't need anything over the top for my small property.

I use it. Weed whacker carbs are just a nightmare to deal with when the diaphragms dry out and the gas goes bad

There are two notches on the spool. Just push those in and let the head come out. You're the 2nd person who has asked about this. Guess I'll pick a day and get a video out here for people like you

Do you let it warm up before you start cutting? Are you using fresh fuel?. Maybe check your fuel filter

It said 50:1 on the cap when I had mine.

I bough one about a year ago. I have had nothing but problems with starting this machine. After about 1/2 hour it will start them 5 minutes or so of using it , it will stop. I have put up with this all this time. I should have taken it back now too late to take back . Throwing it out. Piece of crap!! I have heart my back trying to start it for the last time!! My husband always tells me you get what you pay for , so true!!!

NOPE! Mixed, added FuelI; t started on full choke, after 6 pulls, ran for a few seconds, died. Pulled 8x, nothing. Since it's brand new, checked spark plug. COIL INSIDE S P COVER came partially out. NOPE, it's going back. Have physical limitations already, Don't play games

I was needing for someone to hold the camera and show the steps to start, not sure why no man/person is doing that part it cuts straight to 'OK I got it started ' 🤷
